It gives me chills when I watch it. I think Amber was a good winner (not the best, but good) and Boston Rob was awesome and dominated this season.
The drumbeat change signifies the change of the theme from Borneo's to Africa's (and beyond). If you listen to the theme carefully, you hear it incorporates elements of all themes from all seven seasons before.
3 things about rudy that makes him one of the greatest 1. The Oldest Guy ever to play at 72 the 75 2. Absolute war hero 3. Was pretty funny in survivor 1 they voted him out way too early in this season
I loved how Boston Rob’s picture video shot whatever it’s called shows him during a challenge screaming with adrenile signaling his dominance in the season but his brutal dominance which cost him the win while in the next shot amber is smiling and hugging someone Jenna maybe but it’s cool how that foreshadowers her knowing her Jury better and ultimately getting that win
Jeff Probst said in a number of interviews, including some of his most recent ones, that she was literally put on as a bikini babe when Colleen and Elisabeth declined. No other reason. And there were so many contestants from S2 Australia because that was the most popular season in terms of viewers, in the history of the show, I believe.
why you hate Jenna Morasca, she's a true all-star and a good person even though she quit, it was for her mom, she admitted her mistake of coming there. Jeff gave her his sympathy as she left.

In this Allstars, it's been suggested that the shot of the crocodile with the drip of blood running down (0.45) is symbolic of Amber's win. Her original tribe in Australia is "Ogakor" which is Aboriginal for Crocodile, and she's on the red "Chapera" tribe. Thus, the suggestion was that the winner would come from the red tribe, and that it would be an Ogakor member (other Ogakor members were Colby and Jerri, however they of course are on Mogo Mogo and Saboga, respectively).

I've watched 9 seasons of Survivor so far, and All Stars is the best...for obvious reasons (; And especially since Boston Rob stuck around for so long! I don't even mind that he didn't win, since his wife did haha. But I REALLY hope he wins the current season (: He's SUCH a good player.
After 15 years, i've decided to rewatch Survivor Allstars. One thing i've noticed is just overall depressive and dark vibe of the season which was supposed to be "The Greatest Survivor Season" for it's time. Begining. This season tribes didn't get anything at the start of the game, they really pushed survival aspect of the game to it's limits when players were forced to lick leaves to prevent dehydration, except for Rudy, which said that he isn't afraid of parassites in water well, since he was drinking water from source with 6 dead rotting corpses. Rupert's amazing shelter. When you watch it for first time it's maybe funny how huge is Rupert's ego, but upon rewatch, It's like watching victims of some natural disaster when they lose their home. Jenna's quit. I went trought same thing like Jenna couple years ago, so i know what kind of depressions and anxiety Jenna went trought. It's just really sad to watch, espicially with really intense sad music and reactions of rest of the cast. It's also unpleasant to watch at same time when some cast members instead trying to understand her are making fun of her. (Cathy and Big Tom) Richard and Sue accident, well this speaks for itself and it's really hot topic these days, so i will not get too deep into it, but i think we all agree it's uncomfortable to watch. Lex betraying Ethan and then Boston Rob betraying Lex. Around this time surivor conterstanst had a small community, so they really bonded because of their experience with survivor adventure, you always gotta think all these people were friends even before they were on cast. This is just perfect example of karma and reflection of "friendships" which can experince everyone, not just survivor contestants. Super Toxic jury. previous point project itself into this. I know back then contestants took the game more seriously, but was it necessary to be so toxic towards BR and Amber on FTC ? It's a game which is competition by design. They should know someone is gonna be upset. Overall vibe. If this wasn't enough, entire season had such a cold, windy and cloudy weather with neverending rain. There barely any scenes with sunlight or other visually interesting shots. This makes season even more depressing. Live Reunion. live audience was literally booing Jerri Manthey to shut her up, if this wasn't enough, when Jeff Probst said Jerri choose to leave when they did commercial break. Audience did thunderous applause. I know on this season there were some funny and joyful moments like Rob/Amber lovestory,all saluting to Rudy or Mock Tribal council. But these are just exception in overall storytelling of the season. It's just me or are you guys feeling the same thing ?

well sandra was suffering from parasites at the time, that was why she turned it down. She applied again for micronesia but was turned down. At least she'll be in heroes and villains

I guess back then there were not that many players they could pick and since both Colleen and Elisabeth turned it down the offer I guess they chose Jenna Lewis and Amber instead because they wanted more people from both Borneo and Australia because they started the whole Survivor franchise.

At the time it sure was the top of it. No one expected 40 seasons but damn glad we made it to where all winners fought to the death. That being said, the impact all stars had on me as a kid I'll never replace it as my best season ever
I agree with part of that list. Get rid of all the winners you listed plus Fairplay cuz everyone hated him, and honestly, I would throw in Chris, the winner from Vanuatu. he was a great guy, ultimate underdog, fan favorite all-around, and I think he would play again if given the chance. As long as you had Ozzy, Rupert, and Colby in there, I was happy though! lol

I really wish Rudy didnt get voted off 2nd the season should have been way better if he stuck around till like 7th or 8th. I also wish he was still younger because he would have been great in Heroes vs. Villians. (But would be a Villian or Hero?)
To the person that said that Yul was lucky, I respectfully disagree. I was rooting for Ozzy to win, but Yul played a great game. If the jury gives you their vote, you deserved to win. In regards to Amber, she deserved to win too. I hated both Rob and Amber because they were scumbags. But Rob's backstabbing sealed his fate. The jury had no reason to award him the million dollas. In the end, it didn't even matter because those two ended up together anyway.
considering the intro is made after the 39 days are over, I wouldn't be surprised if they'd put hints in it. For example, if you look at the intros from Gabon, Tocantins and Samoa, if you have to pick the winner just based on the impact in the intro, you would probably be right. :)

My oppinion this is the second best season so far. I have seen
season 1-8, 16, 20, 22 and 23
I really wish Rudy didnt get voted off 2nd the season should have been way better if he stuck around till like 7th or 8th. I also wish he was still younger because he would have been great in Heroes vs. Villians. (But would be a Villian or Hero?)

To the person that said that Yul was lucky, I respectfully disagree. I was rooting for Ozzy to win, but Yul played a great game. If the jury gives you their vote, you deserved to win. In regards to Amber, she deserved to win too. I hated both Rob and Amber because they were scumbags. But Rob's backstabbing sealed his fate. The jury had no reason to award him the million dollas. In the end, it didn't even matter because those two ended up together anyway.

Yeh, if he'd not been so old now he'd probably been on the hero's time. Man, I wish I'd gotten to see him play as a 25 year old.
considering the intro is made after the 39 days are over, I wouldn't be surprised if they'd put hints in it. For example, if you look at the intros from Gabon, Tocantins and Samoa, if you have to pick the winner just based on the impact in the intro, you would probably be right. :)
