Susan O'Doherty talks with Maria Stoljar about her recent show

I caught up with artist Susan O'Doherty in the lead up to her show 'Walking the Plank Without a Shadow' at Art Atrium in Sydney. The exhibition takes the viewer back to convict times and the appalling treatment of women sent to Australia often for trivial crimes. Strong paintings, assemblages and textile sculptures command the space and speak more broadly to feminist issues which continue to be relevant today.
