Did you use the cable simulator on the Boss unit? It sounded a lot tinnier than the line 6. Any changes on the guitar between changing to the other unit?
The gimped it in firmware cos of a fire hazard. The G10 is discontinued now and replaced with the G10ii which is supposed to fix the issue. Was hoping to find out more about the features and sound of each than this pointless distance test to be honest.

My WL-50 loses connection if I so much as turn away from the receiver.

WL50 is better, line 6 battery is a joke.
