Perfect work Tim, it fly amazing😀👌. I want to ask: What is the flat area and weight of the paraglider (everything, not just wing)? How many degrees is the angle of attack of the wing, please? Is it four liner, or three liner? Thanks. I would very appreciate answers, because I want to make one like your😁
Thanks :) The Flat Area is 2.06m2 and it is a four liner. paraelch.weebly.com/open-201.html Here is the website from the developer of the wing, maybe he can help you a little bit more with the angle of attack ;)
Why cant we have a baloon type but same shape pressurised inflated one parafoil wing with inert gas, this will make it more safe even if the wind blows wrong direction, can be infaled in seconds jjst like a car air bag with pressurised inert gas from canister, instead of explosion, no need to inflate the airofoil with ram air, this is how I feel not necessary I am right, but thats why I share it with you correct me if you feel I am wrong, you are a professional.
Hey , thats such a nice idea :) I thought about it many years ago.. :D a double skin paraglider wing has a volume of a few hunderet litres and if the cells are closed and filled with helium you will go up like a ballon :D once at cloudbase you can release the helium and glide like a paraglider. Problem is that helium is very expensive and even the smallest holes in the wing (like the sticht of the sewing) will release the gas very quick. the fabric has to be a lot thicker (it adds more weight) and then paragliding would be a lot more complicated than it is right now. The company Swing paragliders has a RAST (Ram Air Section Technologie) wich keeps the rear section of the paraglider inflated even if the wing collapses at the front . The´re a lot more professional than me and i think there is a reason why they dindt made it at the front of the paraglider ,but i dont know exactly. I know one guy ( from Instagram : evankruger8 ) he flies kites from ozone with a special riser system like the moustache from flare ( Skywalk). These kites have only a few air intakes and they keep the pressure a lot more than a paraglider. So were not the only ones who thought about a new glider technologie ;) We will see in the future what comes in this direction ;) Until there .. Happy landings :D
@thermik_timmy yeah but slight variation, dont use helium otherwise we cannot call it glider it will be called a baloon, right option is to use nitrogen gas which is same density as normal air as nitrogen 75% in air and is little lither than air and is also inert , non explosive, and can be storred under pressurised containers or canisters, so it will still function as a glider and still be safe no need to wait for airflow to fill the cells, this is my view, but I am not expert in paragliding but I am an amateur aeronautic guy, need to confirm wether my idea is feasible from a parafoil gliding expert only, what you say, like this you can use the parafoil as a glider and not like a baloon just floating but actually flying and maneuvring just like an actual aerofoil aircraft, but without the danger collapsing uder cross wind as many people have lost their lives
@thermik_timmy another idea is like how you said make only few cells pressurised so thats the other cells can recover easily when in case of any collapse from cross wind but needs to be done wisely and need alot of innovation here
@thermik_timmy regarding materials thats no issues our modern day material science is well advanced and people are planning to build bases on moon and mars by inflatable habitats such materials can be used in construction of parafoil, and also how its wowen also determines the strength, example how aramid and carbon fibre is woven give it strength, but cannot use it for parafoil as it is little heavy just giving example of how its woven for strenght thats all
I Paraglide by myself... Your Job is great!
ok, thanks for your response, I'll try Andreas then

Hello i want to build one too, do you have tutorials or plans?
May i ask? Is it needed to sew the edges of panels?\And how much KG it can to carry?
Hey, yes. Otherwise the fabric can get damaged very fast
