I created a version of this in Shimmering Skies for use in group games. Loved the idea but was missing something, but with Azurite Seas I cant wait to give it a spin. We get our release in Australia tomorrow, and this was already my first deck I was going to revamp!
Super interesting deck. Did you try a version with "the islands I pulled from the sea"? I feel like you could get rid of those other locations if you used this card. Thoughts?
I did! Actually ran a version with Cindy singer on turn 1, instant sing islands. It's really good when it works but didn't always line up. And then the Cindy would usually die, plus I didn't have any other good follow up songs :(
I tried Ratigan in an original build. When it works I loved it because of all the natural damage you get. But in practice I found I often wanted to spend the ink on other things then paying 2 to move their naturally. And maybe I had bad luck but when I used the Speedway to go there the characters would get banished before Ratigan's ever went off.
Just spitballing in my head. Ruby amethyst locations. Starting line moves characters to library, if the character dies due to movement trigger draw a card. Not as spicy as finish line, but I think there might be something here.
This one was actually in a build with the 1 drop Cinderella Singer! You play Cindy on one, sing Island turn 2 and you guarantee get the finish line, or starting line if you need it. The combo is good although it's more pieces to line up properly and uninkables. But when it works? It's nice :)
I was under the impression you cannot just have a character leave a location. They must either go to a new location or the location must be banished to boot them out. If what you say is true that's a huge difference.
You could do something like Island I pulled from the sea to find your locations a little easier. Nothing really replaces Rapunzel in terms of card draw, but you could try Julieta Madrigal. She's like a mini rapunzel.
Is there a faster version? Taffyta, Finish Line, Starting Line/Shift seems to be the quickest possible start. Turn 4 Minnie, Ink sets up turns 5 on with at least one finish Line. Would you suggest more removal against Aggro? Reckless racers?
@KoalaF3 no removal just play solitaire and keep 4 brawls handy for Diablo. Max out on Minnie play Cinderella and the location song searched for more consistency to use Speedway turn 3. Use Moana 1 drop 5 drop and 7 drop to finish your games maxing out with 4 each. Use 4 voyages to pop off Speedway multiple times a turn. If you put down taffyta shift turn 2 make sure to sing with her that same turn to get off on turn 3 or play Cindy turn 1 and another character turn 2 to use Speedway.
@BossBattleHero the song was the other addition I wanted to ask about. I can see the need to fetch. How can Voyage get multiple Speedways? Or is it just the idea that they will be a cheap move?
@@KoalaF3 so the red speed way is only once per turn but with voyage being a 1 cost and moving to red Speedway is free you don't need to exert your character to move to yellow Speedway. Voyage is really important so make sure you don't ink it unless you really have to
The later in the turn play another yellow Speedway and use the same monster to move to red Speedway for free then use the effect to exert take 1 damage and gain 6 total lore and draw 6 cards

You should try Ratigan's Party or Tiana's Palace. I like Ratigans over Underworld for sure

Pretty sure you can move them out of the speedway even if they're drying. It's the location ability you are "activating" not the character you played

The opponent couldn’t play bend to my will. He was at 6 ink and only paid 5 for it..
Iago had quested to reduce the cost by 2.
