That "planting trees for Israel" has a bit of context needed: the planting of introduced tree species on land that was ethnically clensed is a bit like if historically there was a mechanism for raising money for Apartheid south Africa to boot off the original inhabitants and make national parks on their villiages in the name and for benefit of the colonisers.
While she planted trees, the Israelis were bulldozing olive and orange groves because they were the livelihood of the Palestinians. She continued planting trees ...
