Do everyone a favour and watch the entire video before spewing some ignorant remark on a forum about Caveat Emptor and free market. I am not suggesting removing shovelware from Steam, nor am I suggesting Valve be put in charge of quality control, I am suggesting minor UI changes which would make the store easier to navigate and some limited curation (which Valve already do btw), to make sure the good stuff rises to the top and gets a fair shake, instead of being buried under a giant dump of a publishers ancient back catalogue. As usual, the sheer amount of ignorance surrounding this topic is soul-crushing, try not to be part of the problem.
The comments section is turned off, it has been for a number of months. Comments are on "Approval only" which means you can leave them, but only you can see them. That approval list never gets read. If you would like to leave a comment anyway to "yell at the TV", you are welcome to, just know that nobody will read it. If you'd like to discuss the video in more detail, check out the subreddit at www.reddit.com/r/cynicalbrit
Only difference is these games are just in early acess and pray they release. Even gotten to the point where a game can outright not even work on release and likely for its entire steam release.
If you have a look at the yearly amount of games released on Steam since this video was published, yeah things are completely beyond salvation frankly.
He knew the Direction things were going, but donno if he Could have guessed how much worse it is right now, Steam front page has never been so bad, the amount of hentai games there is horrible sometimes even disgusting
I don't think hentai games are inherently a problem at all. It's more so an avalanche of asset flips which makes it impossible for people to notice good stuff among the bullshit.
@@gamerinatrance3618 you just have to rely on word of mouth. Make friends with people who play alot of indie games. Discord is your best tool for this 😁
