These camping videos aren't easy to produce, making a camp, looking after dogs and then filming it all which entails setting up the camera hundreds of times, that is exhausting, then coming home and editing all that footage and uploading it (pain in the ass). I love and respect what you do Matt and if real life is more important at this time im sure true fans will understand.
Hi Matthew. I'm just an old lady who happened to be you tube surfing one day and found your channel. I love your videos and have seen most of them. I always look forward to seeing your latest work. I feel like I'm in the wilderness, out camping and fishing. It's so relaxing to be able to watch it all happen and not have to do any of the work. I love the outdoors and the way all of it seems so easy for you. It brings me joy, as I'm sure it does to so many others. What you are doing is important, helping so many people learn to appreciate the wilderness as well as experience it vicariously through your videos. I have caught mysef mumbling your quirky sayings like "soupy" and "not too much salt..." I just want you to know that people really enjoy you and your personality. They miss it when it's not there. If you need a break for any reason, please take a break because no one should get burned out doing what they love. But also remember that you are truly loved by your followers, so please don't leave us hanging. We care.

My thoughts exactly, that my worst fear had happened on his last adventure. Places like the BWCA take a number of lives every year. Best of my knowledge, Matt doesn't carry a PLB or satellite communicator, nor any weapons either. I kept checking his last video for possible news. Already lost one of my favorite youtube outdoor adventurers, (RIP MegaWoodswalker) and I don't want have it happen to anyone else.

Dude, you put in a TON of time and effort to produce all this content for us. Beautiful shot framing, time-consuming camera placement and paddle-bys (followed by the return to do the pickup), editing and inserting clips from previous vids ("I waited all day for you . . . OH!!!"), not to mention cooking and dehydrating the sghetti, preparing the gear inventory (and occasionally forgetting a tarp), driving 8 hours to get there . . . and I'm sure I'm missing out a ton of stuff. You take all the time you need. If you had a Ferrari, you wouldn't drive it pedal-to-the-metal all the time, cos it would break. So don't do it to yourself either. :)

So this is my second comment this morning, I’ve been thinking 🤔 you should just take off July and August every year. I clean peoples houses for a job and other than a couple weekly jobs I take off July and August. It allows me to spend time with my kids while they are not in school and just enjoy life. Glad you're back and doing well. The past two months have been crazy, my chihuahua turned 10, got diagnosed with cancer and a month and a half later, during 2 weeks of vacation, I had to say goodbye to him. The next day I couldn't be home & stumbled across a clinic where I got my 4th covid shot & one for monkey pox. 2 days later (3 after loosing my dog) I turned 50, then got an email saying I lost my job post 2 days ago. Yesterday I was vetted for a new post. I swear I'm one woman leaving me away from being a hit country western song.
I kind of figured it was just too hot and uncomfortable, plus the drought and fire bans. It’s a good time to take a mental health break. Love your videos Matt. Glad to see you again

OMG that spot your talking from must be beautiful when the leaves turn colors. What a beautiful view behind you. "that would make a good camping spot." The heat was abnormally strange this year. People that dont normally sweat would start dripping sweat just walking short distances. The heat in the East "temps" finally broke over night and dropped to cool 70s. "So glad since I hate summer and always have." It's just to long. So happy you are fine and all is well with the family. 💜👍

Thank you for updating us. 💕 I for one was worried about you all and so glad to hear all are well. Yes it's been frickin miserable. The heat had been bad. In Colorado we have had record number of over 90°F temps. Keep cool and chill. Can't wait for you to get back out.

OMG that spot your talking from must be beautiful when the leaves turn colors. What a beautiful view behind you. "that would make a good camping spot." The heat was abnormally strange this year. People that dont normally sweat would start dripping sweat just walking short distances. The heat in the East "temps" finally broke over night and dropped to cool 70s. "So glad since I hate summer and always have." It's just to long. So happy you are fine and all is well with the family. 💜👍

So thankful you and furbabies are doing good. Well hot but ok. It's hellish here in the south for sure. It dipped down to 77 last night and I for one was really happy. I can't wait to see your snowy adventures. I really enjoy them. Well take care and see you when you return.

(And you have inspired me to finally take that car trip through the northern tier of states. I’m headed through UP Michigan among lots of other places in October and I cannot wait.
