This looks a lot like the traditional Log Cabin Quilt block with a pattern forming with the different colored strips of fabric. I wonder if the Log Cabin Quilt block came from the Korean traditional design? Beautiful! Thank you.

I hope I do not offend. If you look at any american "log cabin block" quilting demonstration on you-tube, you will be able to see that your method could be a lot simpler if you worked in the opposite direction to add your strips. The secondary short seam, would only need to be done on the last piece in each round. I do like your ideas, the finished block of fabric is very nice, the bag is very stylish. A zipped pocket in the lining would keep things safe inside if the bag was upset. Your phone would be easily stolen in an outside pocket.
Reincarnation is not a word used by english speaking people about inanimate objects. This is a word used for living things coming back to life as something else than they were before. You have used old, second-hand or "scrap fabric" to craft things. It has been re-used, transformed, recycled or turned it into something else that is still inanimate.
