- Hey everyone! Welcome back to our channel. After soaking up some vacation time on the tropical Jeju Island, we were asked to participate in a new program that the Jeju Olle Foundation was creating. This Fall (2021), they are starting an English guided walking tour called, Wander Jeju On Foot. We were able to experience both of their routes that they provide on the weekends. They were so amazing, accommodating and knowledgable about Korean and island culture, and we are so excited to promote their wonderful walking trail. Great to see some familiar views! I did the Jeju Olle-gil thru-hike a couple years ago (in the hottest part of summer, no less) and would highly recommend it! It shouldn't take nearly a month though. I did it in 21 days and that was limiting my walking to the hours just after sunrise to avoid the worst of the summer heat and humidity. In normal weather, two weeks should be plenty of time to plan for. One of the fun things was finding the cool cafes, restaurants, and places to stay along the way!
That's awesome! We were told it takes some people a month, but with our thru hiking legs, we could totally finish it in 2 weeks. Did you do much camping? Or hostel/pension hopping?
@@LetsTrekTogether I did a combination of AirBnB and 민박. Jeju has accommodation in every tiny fishing village around the island, so staying at all these places along the way was part of the fun for me. I didn't bring a tent - just went with a light backpack with two sets of spare clothes - one for hiking and a "clean" set for hanging out. By the way, did you have an urge to hike up Sanbangsan when you were walking around it? When I was there, all the trails up it were closed, but it looked like they might be reopened by now.

We suggest googling Jeju’s covid stage at the moment. It was at a level 4 (no more than four people together and 2 after 6pm) when we were there, but it might have been lifted since. We traveled from Seoul, so there was nothing we had to do!
