Im laughing my ass off while reading all of this "monica and rachel should have end up together" or "joey and chandler should have end up together" bullshit. Can't you just accept a normal friendship? Can't you accept that two people may just be there for each other and love each other like a family? No sexual attraction and nothing romantic. Just people loving and supporting each other because that's what friends do.
This version of ”I will be there for you" is just so emotional....it makes me wanna cry, cause I suddenly remember all the great and sad moments of friends, and that’s makes me really wanna hug everybody around and smile at strangers...lol! Love friends...btw, I AM crying right now. ☕️
My best friend and I have known each other ever since we were in elementary school and we are still best friends after about 20 years later. Ironically, I was terrified of her when we first met. She was loud and energetic and so full of confidence while I was quiet, reserved, and had no confidence in myself. I thought for certain that she would bully me like so many other kids did and tried to avoid her as much as possible. But then, one day, the whole school was going around signing our year books when she came running up to me and asked me to sign her year book for her. I was really nervous to write my name as it was a lot longer than most of the other kids' and was picked on for it, so I just drew a little picture instead since it was the one thing I was actually good at. She ended up loving my drawing so much that she showed it to her mom when she got home and her mom encouraged her to try and make friends with me. I was pretty scared at first when she approached me and wanted to play, but we ended up having a great time and finding that, while we are in fact complete opposites, still had a lot in common and got along great. Some time later, our moms met and became best friends themselves and even started up a company together. She and I are still complete opposites, but we are in all the right ways. We help each other stand strong and be brave whereas we would otherwise struggle on our own and are able to push each other to become better. She really helped bring me out of my shell and be confidence in who I am while I helped keep her out of trouble and have confidence in her appearance (she's a bit on the chubby side despite being so athletic and full of energy). I honestly don't know where I'd be today without her and can't even begin to imagine what life would be like if we had never become friends. It's kinda funny how a simple doodle sparked an everlasting friendship that gave me not only a lifelong friend, but a sister I desperately needed.
