Nice SAK Dan, but you always forget to mention one of the coolest features of these Delemonts, which is the blocking mechanism of the flat screwdriver/bottle opener: if you apply some pressure to it, it recedes an gets blocked thus providing more safety while driving a tight screw.
I had one of these in red and black... it was beautiful... so good in fact, that some luggage handler pinched it out of my suitcase... heartbroken...haven’t recovered since
The corkscrew works amazing on tight knots. I enjoy climbing and this tool is neat. Never used it for wine. Swiss Army tools really are for everyone. Pretty cool!
Great video Dan. Thanks for sharing! Super nice configuration on that Evo 10. That whole Phillips vs. corkscrew battle is one of the main reasons I love my outdoorsmen and champions. You CAN have both. Thanks again!
Just found this video and I agree with you on many points. I have an Evo 11 and I like many features but I wish it was a 10 with a corkscrew and I wish it had those yellow scales. Great video.
Love my yellow Evo, man did Wenger hit one out of the park just before doing the walk of shame into a Victorinox merger. Wish I would have bought the Wenger version back 5 years ago. The yellow color comes in handy when you drop it in the grass
I've got a Victorinox S18 with the bumblebee scales, good model with a lockblade. Its pretty much a kit knife for me given its 4 layers. I have been really tempted by the "Swiss Spirit" limited model on Vic's website. Its very pretty and it might actually get some pocket time.
To pop the cork like a champ, no matter what the cork is made of: Lay the bottle on a chair (not a table, a chair!). Gently press down the bottle when pulling the cork up (you'll be standing up on your feet by the way). That's all. Let me know after.
You can add a pin on the scales of an Evo knife just like the Victorinox back in the corckscrew the Evo handles has space to drill a small hole and put a pin on it, just below the rivet of the corckscrew
I have a red Evogrip with scissors. My yellow black Evo has a saw and scissors, and a Phillips. It is locking. So the non-locking model suits me better for civilian about town carry Also have a couple of Evowood versions. 5 total. Great size and feel. My favourites too.
I EDC my Evolution 14 in a belt pouch. Also with the mini-screw driver to fix my glasses. In my opinion it is the best Victorinox model for urban use. But when I'm out hiking in the woods on weekends, I bring the Ranger Grip 55.
I have heard about it, haven’t gotten one yet. I know it will make a lot of people happy for that tool configuration to finally Be available as a factory model. It’s a little bit too much knife for me to be wanting it for EDC but it be nice to get one for the collection sometime soon. Thanks for watching , my friend. Cheers!
Audio is fine. Good to hear from you again. I thought you went and disappeared on us.Nice Evo SAK, even though I have big hands, an 85 mm would get lost in these hands
Dan I have a victorinox knife that I'm trying to see what the model it might be. Sending you a picture might be what I should do. But how would do I that.
For some reason they don’t seem to make the corkscrew models in yellow... which makes customizing your own all the more special. Thanks for watching! Cheers!!!
thanx for the video swiss army dan every one talks about other saks but not the evo grip i love mine but not a lot of info on it im looking to add a alox pioneer next
Looks good in that color combination. This is basically the same knife as the Victorinox Sportsman (84mm) as far as the tool set goes. I swapped the scales on my Sportsman for nice sapphire ones and it looks great, the only thing I would love to change is to have a pen slot in it. I have not seen an 84mm or 85mm SAK with a pen slot, but having a look at the underside of the scale I'm sure there is enough space to fit the same pen used on the 91mm scales. Have you ever seen such scales or know where I could get a set, or know if anyone has modded such scales?
You do good videos. ImO its the pendant to the Victorinox Sportsman. In the comparison with the same tools i would prefer the evogrip, because of the scales.
Yeah you should see my really wobbly flat head screwdriver on my trail master D2 that thing is really bent diesel mechanic helper pryed lights out of garage trucks liner lock is really tough for what I threw at it at my work on a regular basis LoL. I am looking for another Swiss army knife that has a liner lock and a multi screwdriver main blade that's all i need on a daily basis at my job. I Know of the alpineer it had a liner lock a main blade and a cork screw if it only just had a flat head screwdriver I would be set. Do you know of any models that are still in production? Thanks Kyle like your videos
You should just open your wine like Napoleon opened his champagne... Take your big Sentinel blade and saber the bottle neck. That’s how I open my champagne. I use my Buck 110 to saber the bottle, then I use the knife to cut up my strawberries. Puis, j’ai lu de la belle poesié français à ma belle petite ami...Actually I read the French poetry to myself. I have no belle femme, not even an ugly femme lol....Je suis tout seul. Pauvre moi. Did you know Napoleon and his troops opened their champagne with their sword? Those damned French sure like cutting the tops off of things lol. I learned that sabering champagne thing from an Alizée song called “Mademoiselle Juliette..” Now Alizée is a belle femme /fille. You should check her vid. Sorry for my rambling, it’s the middle of the night and, comme d’habitude, my mind is in overdrive, I can’t stop posting dumb stuff on UA-cam. Well, it’s not really dumb...It’s actually interesting. ua-cam.com/video/SQjiDx62y1k/v-deo.html À bientôt.

The locking version is fantastic. The S18 (and its corkscrew counterpart, the S17) is my favorite "general carry" SAK.
You should be around 1 million subs. You have the best Swiss army channel on youtube by far, and i watch all the Swiss’s army channels.
Swiss Army Dan dude, we'd love to get another entire collection update!!
Great video Dan. Thanks for sharing! Super nice configuration on that Evo 10. That whole Phillips vs. corkscrew battle is one of the main reasons I love my outdoorsmen and champions. You CAN have both. Thanks again!
It's always good to see a new sak video.
Last summer I was visiting a town & a small store had this yellow one; bought it on the spot!
Just found this video and I agree with you on many points. I have an Evo 11 and I like many features but I wish it was a 10 with a corkscrew and I wish it had those yellow scales. Great video.
FYI Can tighten most glasses with awl or tweezer edge!
Good color choice! Have hoy seen the wooden scales? So warm in your hands... Thanks for share!
Love my yellow Evo, man did Wenger hit one out of the park just before doing the walk of shame into a Victorinox merger. Wish I would have bought the Wenger version back 5 years ago. The yellow color comes in handy when you drop it in the grass
I have the yellow Wenger version with the screwdriver ( which I use often. I don't drink much wine.) Great knife, resides in my EDC backpack.
Color combo is good. I have the Delmont 11 and love it.

Looks great. Any time is a good time for a SAK vid. Thanks👍!

@@swissarmydan9354 Hello I use a small hand drill, I don't know excatly the size but the pin fits perfectly in it. Regards 👋

The Evolution S14 is pretty sweet for edc. It’s got scissors and a locking knife. Love it.

Nice scales!!! Like the color. Cheers

Sweet knife👍 Audio was fine btw
Looks like a very useful EDC. 👍
My favorite is the Evo Grip 11. Evo Grips are nice knives.
Hey have you seen or heard about the new Alox Farmer X?
I have heard about it, haven’t gotten one yet. I know it will make a lot of people happy for that tool configuration to finally Be available as a factory model. It’s a little bit too much knife for me to be wanting it for EDC but it be nice to get one for the collection sometime soon.

@@swissarmydan9354 You need one in your collection and to walk us through yet another classic-to-be. lol
Great video man, I’ve been meaning to pick up one from the Evolution 14 at some point. Keep up the good work!

Hello Dan, you who have many knives, which one do you prefer, the evolution 10 or a tourist?
Love the new scales
Been trying to get a 14 in yellow
Gonna just get new scales with the evogrip 14
For some reason they don’t seem to make the corkscrew models in yellow... which makes customizing your own all the more special. Thanks for watching! Cheers!!!
Does it have the pin hole behind the corkscrew?
thanx for the video swiss army dan every one talks about other saks but not the evo grip i love mine but not a lot of info on it im looking to add a alox pioneer next
There are now reviews of the farmer x on youtube

Where to get the screwdriver Corkscrew at
Are usually find them on eBay by searching "mini screwdriver swiss army knife". There are several vendors out there
what is the name of this clip (x)?
Another fantastic video my friend 👍🏼
Cool
The screwdriver at the bottleopener will lock if you put pressure on.
You do good videos.
ImO its the pendant to the Victorinox Sportsman. In the comparison with the same tools i would prefer the evogrip, because of the scales.
Thanks for watching Michael! I feel the same way but still sport a Sportsman sometimes just because I don’t want it to feel jealous 😝

I prefer 91 mm or the 93 mm on the Alox. I find 85mm too small for me.
What kind is it called?
Evo grip 11
Thx, Uncle Dan😁 this is Jake btw
Background audio is loud. Are on the side of the freeway?
Funny that you say that, I live right beside a major freeway bridge
Awesome mod, duder.
I'm seconds away from ordering one from SMKW..
I love my evo grip . 😎👍
Corkscrews are great for untying knots.
They certainly are! Thanks for watching, my friend. Cheers!
