Also two of the 4 Le Mans winners wasn't traditionally rosso corsa AR 8C 2300 Monza (#11 Tazio Nuvolari and Raymond Sommer), the winner of the Le Mans '33, was canary yellow, with red elements AR 8C 2300 Corto Brianza (#9 Luigi Chinetti and Philippe Etancelin), the winner of the Le Mans '34, was sky blue, later called azzurro Le Mans (Le Mans blue). In 1974, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Le Mans victory, AR released a limited production cars. In the same azzurro Le Mans color that was used on the winning 8C
May I suggest the Honda works team for a future episode? So that would cover their first run between 1964 and 1968, and their return from 2006 to 2008.
Great video! I had no idea that Alfa Romeo had such a short career in Formula 1, I thought it was longer. Still, it's a trademark of Italy and I am very glad to see it back in the sport. I'll make a few suggestions for a possible next video: - ATS Team - Zakspeed - British American Racing (BAR) - Jaguar Racing Can't wait for your next vid! :)
Sad fact: Antonio Ascari (dad of Alberto), died on the 1925 French GP, at Linas-Montlhéry, driving a P2. He was one of the biggest promises of motosport at the time.
Was so happy to see another one of my brother-from-another-mother's pieces posted... but was only to able to see it for the first time tonight (I need to settle in with a Scotch, pipe and smoking jacket for full effect, ha.) My first introduction to a properly broadcast GP was the 1983 Belgian GP at Spa, tape-delayed (on ESPN w/ Jackie Stewart doing the commentary with shitty-yet-beautiful audio) so that I was able to watch after school on Monday (in Southern Calif.). I recorded that race on Beta (it was the shit back then). I must've watched that race 50 times that summer, and still have it in storage - point being that I remember that DeCesaris was leading in the Alfa, before retiring to give the victory to Prost in the Renault. I was hooked on F1 after that for the next 25 years or so. I have to say, some of the least successful GP teams have had the most beautiful GP cars - the Benetton-Alfa's of Cheever and Patrese - especially when the FIA allowed those enormous rear wings/winglets, were glorious looking machines. The Arrows of Cheever and Boutsen looked similar. Even the Tyrell's of Brundle and Bellof looked great. Any of the GP cars that had the drivers far-forward were gorgeous. I think that's why I always liked the Ferrari Mondial... But I digress... Sadly, the Alfa of today - like all recent "constructors" are not what they once were. This is Peter Sauber's team, and nowadays, all the cars look the same and they're allowed to share parts. Blasphemy. But, another EXCELLENT and thorough documentary by F1LH. Please keep them coming!
It was a bugger telling them and McLaren apart during those years when the sponsorship and colours were near identical.
...you could by the noise...
New video... Yay..
I've been hanging out for a new video and here it is and as always another high quality production. 👍
Cheers Rob, appreciate it mate.
Nice video can you do f1 livery history of ferrari or B.A.R
Thank you. And I will most certainly be covering those teams.
@@f1liveryhistories290 history of ferrari: red.
5:59: What a beautiful shape and what a beautiful livery as well. Thanks for posting. Great job, man.
Indeed one of Alfa's finest paint jobs.
you know that giulia and stelvio are actually alfa romeo cars right?
maybe you could do videos on particular sponsors alone, like tobacco companies or something? Marlboro would make for a long one, im sure!
Sounds like a good idea!
Then we should collect suggestions:
Marlboro
Martini
Camel
Red Bull
What else?
I loved the Alfa Romeo 155 V6 touring-cars from the 90s with the Martini livery, that's why I would like to see them as their title-sponsor.

Alfa romeo is in my opinion the best vehicle manufacturer
Keep up the good work👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks Wessel!
And today we found out that alfa will only be with us till 2026…
idk if its really worth mentioning, but if i remember correctly, alfa sold their 84 and 85 season cars to Osella

FORMULA ONE BEATS TO CHILL/RELAX TO (24 HR STREAM)
I thought Sauber would be discussed in detail. :(
Sauber have their very own episode. Check through my videos bro :-)
When are you doing Mclaren
Within the next few months.
You made one crucial mistake: You used the old Alfa Romeo logo
I prefer the look of the old one in general.
I was expecting Mercedes.
Merc are coming very, very soon.
Stelvio on the C37 is not a sponsor but Alfa's road car (SUV) the Alfa Romeo Stelvio
Γιώργος Βαρδ as is Giulia
Yeah Kimi has the Stelvio and Gio has the Giulia
Great video!

Thanks for all of your support Matthew. I look forward to doing videos on all of the teams you suggested.

As an Italian one of my favourite F1's teams, good work!
Also the Necro's instrumental, very cool!
Cheers Spartan! Indeed, one of Necro's best beats.
Ever Since Alfa Romeo Is Back In F1 With Sauber
They Need To Change Their Natonality From Swiss To Italian
The Alfa 4 leaf clover also appeared on Ferrari F1 cars before Alfa became a team of the own :)
Please Hrt or Caterham
Nice one. I have made my thanks to you in my latest video :)
Oh cool! Cheers :-)
please do one on ferrari. love the vids
Cheers mate. Ferrari aren't too far away.
Awesome video bro! +1 subscriber! Also, what song is playing at the very beginning?
Thank you! Necro - Black Helicopters is the song.
Always looknforward to another video. Great as always! Thank you for the wonderful content.
Thanks mate.
2
Arrows or Jordan pls!!!!
He already made these two, check them in the channel. Very great videos, by the way.
They were covered in earlier editions.
Thanks
7:45 guilia and stelvio aren’t companies, they’re actual alfa romeo models they chose to advertise on the side of the car.
I know mate, that was a bit of mistake.
Do Brawn. Heard they had so much liverys in there years in f1
That will be a marathon video, that's for sure.
I was hoping for an explanation of how Alfa got away with running the same livery as McLaren.
I'm sorry but F1 was established in 1950
Nice "Bobby Deerfield" pull!
f1 livery history mclaren please
Coming soon
