I am a huge fan of RHCP since I was 10 with my little robot tape player lol, Now I am 28. I like that he takes his time to address fans and videos like this make us all closer to RHCP !
for all you guys who dont know what OFF! song to try i would say try panic attack or i dont belong you might as well listen to the whole of the first four ep's 16 songs in 20 mins great punk rock from some living legends
@rhcprh this is true but I still feel like the 60s was probably the greatest period due to the number of massive revolutionary artists that originated then. The 80s to me has always seemed like a low point to me. That doesn't mean though that everything was great in the 60s or awful in the 80s. I never bother judging the present because we can't see it the same way we see the past.
Red hot Chilli Peppers showing love to J Dilla??? thats awsome.. they really know whats good.. he is my favorite Hip-Hop producer/rapper... his Rock influenced beats are crazy like "geek down" from his Donuts EP :)
Can tell that Josh is very shy with all the sudden attention and being in the greatest band in the world, the RHCP, which is understandable. Just hope he's not under too much pressure as JF was in his earlier years when he joined the band...
I suppose the reason for this attitude is because of what is played on the tv and on the major radio stations. Back in the 1960s etc people were presented with bands like the beatles and led zep on a plate, constantly hearing it on radio and tv.... but there was also rubbish that was popular then as well, whereas now in the charts it's virtually all rubbish, so that's all a lot of people hear. I like this thing they've done, very kind of them.
Anthony is so right on, there are tons of great bands but they are not on the radio but on youtube and playing clubs. Check out The Lovely Bad Things- and Pangea just to name a couple!!
Yeah, the problem isn't that new music sucks, it's that people are still listening to music the way they've always been. By listening to the radio. They don't recognize yet that the internet is an awesome alternative. We're all on the internet anyway, may as well use it for something.

I saw the Red Hot Chili Peppers Takeover on FUSE the other day and it was almost comedy by how much they were messing with the interviewer. If you look at any interview prior to this album Anthony is almost as straight as an arrow.
@MPSecare Plenty of people make music without computers nowadays. Also, it's not like music made by computers is automatically bad either, and I'm sure there can be music made with computers and you wouldn't even be able to tell that it was.
