  • Studies show that it takes only 0.05 seconds for a visitor to create an opinion about your website. With a feat like this to accomplish, shouldn’t you be putting your best foot forward to woo your visitors?
That's why we've put together 7 guiding principles to help you design a great website that's simple yet effective.
More about this on our blog, check it out: zoho.to/design...
    1. Make your page scannable
A website should be quick and easy to scan, demonstrating to the customer they have landed at the right place. Creating a visual hierarchy helps people decipher information and aid cognitive flow.
    2. Use relevant imagery
Use images that convey what your solution/website is all about. Remember, a picture tells a thousand words.
    3. Have unique, clear, and relevant headlines
Make sure your headlines state “what is in it for your visitors” followed up by a “prove it” statement.
    4. Provide one key action point
Tell the person what you want them to achieve. However, do make it easy for people to navigate elsewhere.
    5. Include a global search bar
A search bar will act as the shop assistant-if you are struggling to find something, you ask.
    6. Use quick links and breadcrumbs to guide visitors
Quick links are your visitors' key to relevant pages and breadcrumbs act like “you are here” indicators.
    7. Link your logo to the homepage
This is a simple way for people to get home and start again if needed.
