Ferrari have a reputation for being difficult. In my own experience, they have been the best company i have ever delt with. They have their customers happiness at the top of their agenda. You become family once you own one. They fully understand that treating a customer very very well makes them come back over and over. Ferrari also need to protect their brand, they are always a target.
I am blown away by the positive reception Emelia has received from major brands. Chevy treats her as a C8 ambassador and now a Ferrari service center is enthusiastically restoring her 458 to its former glory. You go girl!

She never bought this Ferrari from one of their dealers. They still are getting her to repaint the car to a Ferrari approved color in order for them to work on it. 1 step forward, 2 steps back IMO.

Like remove their badging or replace badging with non-oem pieces. Or modifying their branding. For example, defacing or altering their Ferrari logo

I have a new level of respect for Ferrari ! 35 years experience in the auto service industry ( as a tech ) I can say that for any dealer to take the approach and extend the olive branch like this is above and beyond, I am honestly shocked.... good on Ferrari that is awesome definitely has given me a new level of appreciation for them that wasnt there previously. much respect !!!

My late aunt who lived in CT would love this story. She used to own Ferrari’s as a daily driver from mid 1950s to about 1990. Until she retired. She tried a Porsche 928 once, and then went back to the Ferrari’s till she retired. She had such a love for Ferrari’s. She used to race sports cars in the late 1950s too. Speed and cars has run in our blood and our family going back over a 100 years.
See this is not uncommon. I'm in Europe, and I've never experienced anything other than first rate service from my F dealer. All the B.S people blabber about on social media is just nonsense from people who know absolutely nothing.

Clearing codes to avoid going into limp mode, I have to do this weekly (often daily!) with my 2012 Corvette Grand Sport Convertible. This issue popped up in 2014 when I still have a full year of warranty left. Lesson learned! NEVER EVER accept the blowoff response "we can't find the issue with your car, but bring it back if it happens again" when a car is under warranty. GM screwed me over by "running out the clock". I had tons of documentation showing that I had take it in for the exact issue numerous times, but since the dealerships never actually identified the problem and hence replace parts, GM used that loophole to screw me over.

They never actually did anything against modified cars though. Its just made up shit for clicks in youtube mostly. Literally vip ferrari customers have novitec exhaust and and some have bodykits or carbon fiber parts installed. Ferrari just hates when you say anything bad about the brand without factual reason but opinion. Which is weird ik. Ferrari sued mostly for copyright or brand shaming. I haven't seen any cease and desist for mods. But yes you lose ferrari points and get blacklisted from icona and special ferraris.
@@Shaf-ci4om Very much spot on. I'm an owner and have been in the Ferrari game for years. This is very much how it works normally. Ferrari is not this big evil thing some clowns make them out to be. And as you say, they have NEVER made a C&D for any mods, ever. It is as you say, there has been a case that pertained to marketing and promotion. Yes, if you change the badges and name on your car, then proceed to use it as a promo tool in magazines, on TV and on social media without getting an "All Clear", yes then they will balk, and that's very reasonable. Overall Ferrari has a way of handling clients that are really second to none. What has happened and was a bit of a problem in the US, was some dealers playing games. But that has nothing to do with Ferrari in Maranello, they are very much against that. So much so that about three years ago, they decided to let one of FNA's highest placed CE's go with a lawsuit against him for failing to keep dealers from playing games. Some dealers in CA and few other places still try, but most are fairly straight these days. As for mods? They don't care. But if you mess with our ECU, yeah, then like all other manufactures, they will warrant your engine and possibly driveline warranty.
It's really cool that Ferrari has agreed to help you, Emelia. Usually, they shun modified cars. I'm certain that your "brand" has a lot to do with it. Keep up the great work.

I must say I was shocked and put a smile on my face for this one reason. I believe it was in 2018, I was driving in the 134E fwy heading to Glendale. Just put borla exhaust mufflers on my grey 06 mustang. Heading to work with windows down to the ford dealer to show my buddies how the car sounds. Then a girl in a beat up 240 passes me and sounded way better to the point I felt embarrassed of my car. Get to work, coworkers asked “so what you wanted to show us?” I said “oh nothing just polished the wheels”. I always wondered about that girl and her car. 2023 comes in. Bumped into your UA-cam channel and realized it was you. I must say I’m very glad you are doing fine and still have your car. Oh and my car has been on stock exhaust since then. I think it’s for the best.

At first when I heard it ...I was like NOOO!!!😳...don't let them change the color. People see that car and they know immediately it's your car. No other Ferrari in the world looks like your LW 458.💯🔥 But when you said the colors you wanted...i was like ok....maybe. I think the Grigio Medio would be a good color since it's not used that that much.(and I know something that can be done to that gray that will make it your own) MOST DEFFFF!!! don't let them paint it Red, Black or Yellow! Emelia don't change the color on your 458! It looks so clean and unique as is. Seeing the color of that other Ferrari should tell you that you were on the right track and nailed it with that blue/green.
Glad that Ferrari is willing to help you get the bugs out of it. If you do have to repaint it that grey looks GOOD. Maybe some new carbon fiber pieces or a little twist on accents.
I would wrap the 458 in a off white pearl and keep the bronze hubs and the front luvers the same. Like a cloud you never know when it rains! Peace and Love keep doing what you Do!
I have seen thousands of Ferrari's But the most beautiful one I ever saw as far as paint is a SF90 Stradale with paint code 515C Azzuro Ferrari Met. Just an unbelievable looking car.

This issue popped up in 2014 when I still have a full year of warranty left. Lesson learned! NEVER EVER accept the blowoff response "we can't find the issue with your car, but bring it back if it happens again" when a car is under warranty. GM screwed me over by "running out the clock". I had tons of documentation showing that I had take it in for the exact issue numerous times, but since the dealerships never actually identified the problem and hence replace parts, GM used that loophole to screw me over.

They never actually did anything against modified cars though. Its just made up shit for clicks in youtube mostly. Literally vip ferrari customers have novitec exhaust and and some have bodykits or carbon fiber parts installed. Ferrari just hates when you say anything bad about the brand without factual reason but opinion. Which is weird ik. Ferrari sued mostly for copyright or brand shaming. I haven't seen any cease and desist for mods. But yes you lose ferrari points and get blacklisted from icona and special ferraris.

Very much spot on. I'm an owner and have been in the Ferrari game for years. This is very much how it works normally. Ferrari is not this big evil thing some clowns make them out to be. And as you say, they have NEVER made a C&D for any mods, ever. It is as you say, there has been a case that pertained to marketing and promotion. Yes, if you change the badges and name on your car, then proceed to use it as a promo tool in magazines, on TV and on social media without getting an "All Clear", yes then they will balk, and that's very reasonable. Overall Ferrari has a way of handling clients that are really second to none. What has happened and was a bit of a problem in the US, was some dealers playing games. But that has nothing to do with Ferrari in Maranello, they are very much against that. So much so that about three years ago, they decided to let one of FNA's highest placed CE's go with a lawsuit against him for failing to keep dealers from playing games. Some dealers in CA and few other places still try, but most are fairly straight these days.
As for mods? They don't care. But if you mess with our ECU, yeah, then like all other manufactures, they will warrant your engine and possibly driveline warranty.
It's really cool that Ferrari has agreed to help you, Emelia. Usually, they shun modified cars. I'm certain that your "brand" has a lot to do with it. Keep up the great work.

I must say I was shocked and put a smile on my face for this one reason. I believe it was in 2018, I was driving in the 134E fwy heading to Glendale. Just put borla exhaust mufflers on my grey 06 mustang. Heading to work with windows down to the ford dealer to show my buddies how the car sounds. Then a girl in a beat up 240 passes me and sounded way better to the point I felt embarrassed of my car. Get to work, coworkers asked “so what you wanted to show us?” I said “oh nothing just polished the wheels”. I always wondered about that girl and her car. 2023 comes in. Bumped into your UA-cam channel and realized it was you. I must say I’m very glad you are doing fine and still have your car. Oh and my car has been on stock exhaust since then. I think it’s for the best.

Emelia don't change the color on your 458! It looks so clean and unique as is. Seeing the color of that other Ferrari should tell you that you were on the right track and nailed it with that blue/green.

I have seen thousands of Ferrari's But the most beautiful one I ever saw as far as paint is a SF90 Stradale with paint code 515C Azzuro Ferrari Met. Just an unbelievable looking car.

Hrm, I love the color you got, but how bout that light blue they had on some vintage stuff like Daytonas and the like? That's my favorite 'official Ferrari color.' ...And I think I recall seeing a dark red-brown on some more recent front-engine Ferraris I really liked.
