I just did the charging water practice from High Magick. Such a profound practice. Thank you for such a simple yet deep practice. Add on : for any of the people here interested in eastern or hindu practices. There is a practice called SO HUM meditation which is probably the root of yoga. It was from the traditions of Matsyendranath and Gorakhnath who were probably the most renowned yogis of India. Matsyendranath was considered as Shiva itself. There is a book on Soham yoga in amazon. It details the practice and the tradition. Once you are in a concentrated frame of mind, practice it once and you get to know its power. Thank you Damien for the practices. I thought I would share this simple eastern practice here for anyone interested.
Greetings, Damien! I started my magickal journey a little over a month ago, following the practices in "High Magick" and the audiobook version. I've been practicing the Fourfold breath with visualizations (Solar and Lunar)at least twice a day for at least five minutes each for a couple weeks, preparing to move on to the four seasons version. How do I know when I'm ready to progress to more complicated rituals like the Middle Pillar, and how would I know if it is too soon to do so? I struggle with the lack of focus and low energy that come with P.T.S.D. and Depression, and have heard you say the Middle Pillar is one of the most useful rituals due in part to the way it helps clear the energy path between the magician and the divine energy source. I figure that when I'm ready, this could provide the energy I need to allow me to motivate more easily and sharpen my focus. Any other advice you could offer based on your own struggles with P.T.S.D., and maybe could you sometime speak on any issues or concerns people who have mental illnesses may face as they advance in their practice of High Magick? Since the universe caught my attention and turned me on to your work, the work I've done with positive reframing of thoughts and doing visualizations has already changed my perspective for the better and has given me a sense of direction. I finally feel like I've found that "something more" that my life has always been missing and my thirst for knowledge is great. I am proceeding with the faith that as I push hard against the heaviness of these psychological conditions and establish a solid background in the fundamentals, rituals such as The Middle Pillar will allow me to actually accumulate energy and I'll start gaining some momentum against the inertia I feel. I started doing the fourfold breath work for a few days and then started doing to middle pillar along with the breath work and he gives a time slot for how long you should do the middle pillar exercises which is nice. My thought process on how long to do each practice is that doing something too advanced for you isn't gonna be bad and if you feel comfortable or have an understanding for whatever exercise you're doing at the moment and want to move on I'd say that you could because once again it won't hurt. I hope he answers your question though and stay strong and keep doing the works!
Some magicians say an altar is not needed. They say it is used to create the necessary framework of mind or to gain access to the higher states. So can magick be done without an altar. Maybe like in the altar of the mind.
In my experiene the physical ritual implements like an altar and elemental tool and whatnot, they seem to add to the strength of the ritual but it will still work just fine without it... maybe thats because those things get me in the right frame of mind or maybe their is some real energetic significance.
the black cube part in the altar reminds me of saturns cube. saturnian rituals etc. I know thats different then what your saying but i have been learning alot about it through synchronicity. anyways great pearls of wisdom as always thank you for sharing!

I find that to be confused is an opportunity to reprogram or at the least question our habits and the belief system that may or may not be serving us in the way our true will wants to manifest through us.
The basics is that magick is of quantum mechanical, + - ion exchange in the consciousness electrical magnetic quantum field. Everything is energy exchange and influence. Thus is the Key and Candle, you have to light the indigo flame and humbly submit to its power without covetting the flesh. Build the shaft of light, the four pyramids two big and to lesser. Intigrate Fire-Water, Earth, Wind, and spirit. Demons are highly charged ionically in the negative polarization. Angel's are positively charged. Both have learned to become fully self actualized as a being. They have to decide how and for who they will wield their sword and axe, as well as their wand. They dont cancel eachother out, it should be brought into equilibrium. I AM The HEAD and Not The tail.

You had mentioned before (a video on the subject of the quarantine situation) about keeping a schedule. Are there specific times that you stick to for wake and sleep? And then you start your day with rituals and then physical exercise? You eat somewhere in there? 😁 I am hopeful to find some of these answers in your books, but for now I just wonder. You mentioned your altar in this video , but gave no info of an example of it as a comparison . How have you set it up differently and do you literally have it set up in the middle of your space or a room or did I misinterpret that? Ok heres a question. We talk about visualizing and seeing with your minds eye with these practices, but I'm curious, from your experience, how much do you actually see with your physical eyes doing these things, if you do. Not that i've practiced much, but even just in the times when I used to work for a church and was having more of an awakening...not only was I seeing little flashes of light, but I've seen full orbs of light show themselves for extended amount of time. I have Visual Snow Disorder so I'm open to that being all it is, but to see a 10ft orb of blue light show itself that a the silhouette of a person in front, behind it and within it.
I think it's sorta like automatic writing, what feels right and what comes to mind in your belief...Loved this, because this is the way I practice, black is my go to color usually almost everyday because im always feeling other pple's energy and i try to avoid that because i just can't handle to many social events...It just depends on who it is where it's at and how i feel about it beforehand...
Hi Damien, big fan, but sorry in advance for the big question. Before I even feel prepared to start, I can't help but feel obligated to learn or at least brush up on so many topics, it feels overwhelming. I don't feel as though I can start any craft until I understand more of, or at least the fundamentals of, the interrelationships of different faiths, gods/angels/goetia, iconography, languages, materials, and their related symbolism. Is this also part of the work or is it something people usually skip or perhaps learn as they go? Is there a right or wrong way to go about that? I enjoy this learning part of the process too, but it does feel like an obstacle.
I can answer this one. The Lesser BANISHING Ritual of the Pentagram doesnt actually invoke anything, really. The archangels are invoked outside of your circle to watch over it while you do your other magick afterwards. As far as invoking "daemons" or anything like that, I would check out his video on The Goetia, which is essentially King Solomon's guide to invoking "lower" energies

In my eyes, people of those times valued the miracles of god but feared any small amount of little miracles from God's creation. In reality now, think would your god truly hate you for wanting to heal and commune with nature and get closer to him?
I had previously mentioned the use of silk material and a long dagger for my initiation ritual. Also, the cloth is white and I prefer a dagger as a replacement for a wand.

Check out the note/key correspondences in music. One of the easiest ways to do this is to find the notes to each of the Major Arcana in tarot. That way you have correspondences to all the planets, all the zodiac, and all the elements and you would use those correspondences just like how people use color correspondence or directions etc. etc.

Hi Damien :) i have read some of your books, and started to listen to your wonderful audio recording. It is truly a massive story, and I respect your dedication to magick and your work in trying to give acces to a higher spiritual live. Being a radical enlightener myself, I can really understand what you have been going through. The opposition to your ideas, the meaningless persecution. It actually gives me a story arch to reflect my own miserable life to. I have also been imprisoned for 15 years now, with other means applied. Like killing my mom and other horrible things, and I’m also getting out of prison these days, trying to adjust to the real live. So your story really resonates with my own personal hell. Having read one of your books, and listening to your audio recording. What springs to my mind, and I am as free thinking as yourself, so don’t take it more seriously than that. But what really strikes me, is the fact that you seem to be kind of stuck with all of that quantum physics ideology. Quantum physics is, compared to the outset of the Anaxagorean tradition, that it really is just a latest development of, pretty simple. If you read Anaxagoras that started the tradition of atomic physics, he has a very beautiful physics/metaphysical theory. A theory that actually points back to Mesopotamia. So in essence, your understanding of angel magick and the metaphysical tradition you represent with a Sumerian/Mesopotamian astrotheurgy as conveyed by Kabbalah and different western high mages share roots with atomic physics. Anaxagoras talks about intelligence as being G-d for instance and so on. So understanding quantum physics on a deeper level do actually make sense, if you understand the roots of quantum physics. In fact you can both create that bridge between atomic physics and magick you are searching for if you wish, and understand the realm of spirit to a deeper level. The other thing is. You Englishmen (seen from a cultural perspective, Golden Dawn and so on), really seem to have forgotten your Norse roots. Here in Denmark where I come from, northern mythology and pantheon is still alive. Not as vibrant as Christianity, atomic physics and perhaps Judaism. But is is still remembered, and we still try to preserve our roots. One of my friends and I are for instance trying to combine astrotheurgy and the Nordic pantheon. Using some of your methods, among other things. Anyway, I don’t know why it frustrates me, that you seem to miss your northern roots in your theories. Maybe because you have the potential to lift that part of your heritage as well, and I am trying to do it. I don’t know, but giving your thoughts on the relationship between the Norse g-ds and high magick would be really, really interesting. Hope you don’t mind me saying these things. I have been practicing Magick while under the influence of psilocybin mushrooms. I have been impressed by the amount of enhancements its been doing for visualization and really enhances the feeling of the energy I'm flowing through me and my space. My question is: Am I cheating myself? Is this frowned upon? Am I the only one that does this? When I draw them it's like I can feel a level of clarity and balance. Drawing sigils seems so natural to me for some reason. Hi Damien, at this point I am working to connect the Tarot with their assigned angels. My trouble lies in choosing the oral mantra used to charge each pentagram before invoking the angel by name. For example, when invoking Hanael, what would you recommend I use as the charging mantra? Shiddai el Chai? Then, it can be difficult to tell what other angel would be appropriate to invoke in context of adding a compliment to Hanael. Possibly Hanael in the east and Archangel Gabriel in the West? The book of Thoth has been illuminating in the case of connecting cards with others, but I am wondering if you have a different method for finding these things out. Thanks! Love your books on magick! Question, I’ve done the LBR with help from a UA-cam video guided by you. First one I’ve actually done granted the years this topic has held my interest. After completing the ritual I received a clear vision of the 5 angels at each point of the pentagram, but none of which had a face. I also felt at incredible ease afterward, like a burden had been lifted off me, like I was at peace with everything for a short while. Any particular insight on this? By extension, would it not also be advisable to eventually work with the Sephiroth and the Qlippoth, in order to integrate the higher self with the shadow? What could happen if one has too much solar energy, and ditto for lunar energy?
After doing the kabbalistic cross ritual you've shown in a previous video, I've recently had a "vision" so to speak that was accompanied by the words, "beauty and compassion", which in turn lead me to the Sephirah Tiferet. I wanted to ask if a thought form or egragor could go rouge but after watching all your videos and continuing down my own path I'm not quite sure what I mean by rouge anymore. You said a spell will take the quickest rout to accomplishing the task you set out for it, could this look like a rouge thought form, forcing you to submit down what seems to be a contrary path? I feel like I've been going crazy and it's been tough but I've made the best of everything laid out in front of me. Will a spell or thought form or egregore or even a Goetia only present you with as much as you can handle? After the last several months I definitely understand why some people might say magic can be dangerous. Do you think its possible that some people experiencing mental health issues have inadvertently cast spells, or come into contact with entities they couldn't handle? I feel like a lot of these answers are coming into light for me naturally, but I'm still really curious to hear what you have to say about it.

I've been practicing the Fourfold breath with visualizations (Solar and Lunar)at least twice a day for at least five minutes each for a couple weeks, preparing to move on to the four seasons version. How do I know when I'm ready to progress to more complicated rituals like the Middle Pillar, and how would I know if it is too soon to do so?
I struggle with the lack of focus and low energy that come with P.T.S.D. and Depression, and have heard you say the Middle Pillar is one of the most useful rituals due in part to the way it helps clear the energy path between the magician and the divine energy source. I figure that when I'm ready, this could provide the energy I need to allow me to motivate more easily and sharpen my focus. Any other advice you could offer based on your own struggles with P.T.S.D., and maybe could you sometime speak on any issues or concerns people who have mental illnesses may face as they advance in their practice of High Magick?
Since the universe caught my attention and turned me on to your work, the work I've done with positive reframing of thoughts and doing visualizations has already changed my perspective for the better and has given me a sense of direction. I finally feel like I've found that "something more" that my life has always been missing and my thirst for knowledge is great. I am proceeding with the faith that as I push hard against the heaviness of these psychological conditions and establish a solid background in the fundamentals, rituals such as The Middle Pillar will allow me to actually accumulate energy and I'll start gaining some momentum against the inertia I feel.

I started doing the fourfold breath work for a few days and then started doing to middle pillar along with the breath work and he gives a time slot for how long you should do the middle pillar exercises which is nice. My thought process on how long to do each practice is that doing something too advanced for you isn't gonna be bad and if you feel comfortable or have an understanding for whatever exercise you're doing at the moment and want to move on I'd say that you could because once again it won't hurt. I hope he answers your question though and stay strong and keep doing the works!

Some magicians say an altar is not needed. They say it is used to create the necessary framework of mind or to gain access to the higher states. So can magick be done without an altar. Maybe like in the altar of the mind.
In my experiene the physical ritual implements like an altar and elemental tool and whatnot, they seem to add to the strength of the ritual but it will still work just fine without it... maybe thats because those things get me in the right frame of mind or maybe their is some real energetic significance.
the black cube part in the altar reminds me of saturns cube. saturnian rituals etc. I know thats different then what your saying but i have been learning alot about it through synchronicity. anyways great pearls of wisdom as always thank you for sharing!

I'm in a lot of confusion right now, but I choose to see it as a blessing.
I find that to be confused is an opportunity to reprogram or at the least question our habits and the belief system that may or may not be serving us in the way our true will wants to manifest through us.
The basics is that magick is of quantum mechanical, + - ion exchange in the consciousness electrical magnetic quantum field. Everything is energy exchange and influence.
Thus is the Key and Candle, you have to light the indigo flame and humbly submit to its power without covetting the flesh.
Build the shaft of light, the four pyramids two big and to lesser. Intigrate Fire-Water, Earth, Wind, and spirit.
Demons are highly charged ionically in the negative polarization. Angel's are positively charged. Both have learned to become fully self actualized as a being. They have to decide how and for who they will wield their sword and axe, as well as their wand.
They dont cancel eachother out, it should be brought into equilibrium.

Hello Damien! I feel like my questions are a bit off subject, but they are intended to be in relation to how you work magick in with your daily life. You had mentioned before (a video on the subject of the quarantine situation) about keeping a schedule. Are there specific times that you stick to for wake and sleep? And then you start your day with rituals and then physical exercise? You eat somewhere in there? 😁 I am hopeful to find some of these answers in your books, but for now I just wonder. I struggle with time management, to say the least.

Magic is like fishing you have to prepare & visualise the fish you want to catch & then will that big fish on the line.
Ok heres a question. We talk about visualizing and seeing with your minds eye with these practices, but I'm curious, from your experience, how much do you actually see with your physical eyes doing these things, if you do. Not that i've practiced much, but even just in the times when I used to work for a church and was having more of an awakening...not only was I seeing little flashes of light, but I've seen full orbs of light show themselves for extended amount of time. I have Visual Snow Disorder so I'm open to that being all it is, but to see a 10ft orb of blue light show itself that a the silhouette of a person in front, behind it and within it.
I think it's sorta like automatic writing, what feels right and what comes to mind in your belief...Loved this, because this is the way I practice, black is my go to color usually almost everyday because im always feeling other pple's energy and i try to avoid that because i just can't handle to many social events...It just depends on who it is where it's at and how i feel about it beforehand...
Hi Damien, big fan, but sorry in advance for the big question. Before I even feel prepared to start, I can't help but feel obligated to learn or at least brush up on so many topics, it feels overwhelming. I don't feel as though I can start any craft until I understand more of, or at least the fundamentals of, the interrelationships of different faiths, gods/angels/goetia, iconography, languages, materials, and their related symbolism. Is this also part of the work or is it something people usually skip or perhaps learn as they go? Is there a right or wrong way to go about that? I enjoy this learning part of the process too, but it does feel like an obstacle.

Hi Damien! Can you use the LBRP to invoke entities other than angels to help with energy work?
I can answer this one. The Lesser BANISHING Ritual of the Pentagram doesnt actually invoke anything, really. The archangels are invoked outside of your circle to watch over it while you do your other magick afterwards. As far as invoking "daemons" or anything like that, I would check out his video on The Goetia, which is essentially King Solomon's guide to invoking "lower" energies
If you want to specifically invoke you should use the invoking ritual of the pentagram anyway

I’ve been doing energetic clearings of my house and others that have asked for it. I learned the power of intension and the power of releasing doubt and fear. I haven’t come across anything really negative and stubborn yet, but I’m sure it will happen eventually. I’m wondering if the LBRP would be good to do in a space to help clear it or if there is something else I should be aware of and learn that would also help. Check out the note/key correspondences in music. One of the easiest ways to do this is to find the notes to each of the Major Arcana in tarot. That way you have correspondences to all the planets, all the zodiac, and all the elements and you would use those correspondences just like how people use color correspondence or directions etc. etc.

Hi Damien :) i have read some of your books, and started to listen to your wonderful audio recording. It is truly a massive story, and I respect your dedication to magick and your work in trying to give acces to a higher spiritual live.
Being a radical enlightener myself, I can really understand what you have been going through. The opposition to your ideas, the meaningless persecution.
It actually gives me a story arch to reflect my own miserable life to. I have also been imprisoned for 15 years now, with other means applied. Like killing my mom and other horrible things, and I’m also getting out of prison these days, trying to adjust to the real live.
So your story really resonates with my own personal hell.
Having read one of your books, and listening to your audio recording. What springs to my mind, and I am as free thinking as yourself, so don’t take it more seriously than that. But what really strikes me, is the fact that you seem to be kind of stuck with all of that quantum physics ideology.
Quantum physics is, compared to the outset of the Anaxagorean tradition, that it really is just a latest development of, pretty simple.
If you read Anaxagoras that started the tradition of atomic physics, he has a very beautiful physics/metaphysical theory. A theory that actually points back to Mesopotamia.
So in essence, your understanding of angel magick and the metaphysical tradition you represent with a Sumerian/Mesopotamian astrotheurgy as conveyed by Kabbalah and different western high mages share roots with atomic physics.
Anaxagoras talks about intelligence as being G-d for instance and so on.
So understanding quantum physics on a deeper level do actually make sense, if you understand the roots of quantum physics.
In fact you can both create that bridge between atomic physics and magick you are searching for if you wish, and understand the realm of spirit to a deeper level.
The other thing is. You Englishmen (seen from a cultural perspective, Golden Dawn and so on), really seem to have forgotten your Norse roots.
Here in Denmark where I come from, northern mythology and pantheon is still alive. Not as vibrant as Christianity, atomic physics and perhaps Judaism. But is is still remembered, and we still try to preserve our roots.
One of my friends and I are for instance trying to combine astrotheurgy and the Nordic pantheon. Using some of your methods, among other things.
Anyway, I don’t know why it frustrates me, that you seem to miss your northern roots in your theories. Maybe because you have the potential to lift that part of your heritage as well, and I am trying to do it. I don’t know, but giving your thoughts on the relationship between the Norse g-ds and high magick would be really, really interesting.

Hi Damien, at this point I am working to connect the Tarot with their assigned angels. My trouble lies in choosing the oral mantra used to charge each pentagram before invoking the angel by name. For example, when invoking Hanael, what would you recommend I use as the charging mantra? Shiddai el Chai? Then, it can be difficult to tell what other angel would be appropriate to invoke in context of adding a compliment to Hanael. Possibly Hanael in the east and Archangel Gabriel in the West? The book of Thoth has been illuminating in the case of connecting cards with others, but I am wondering if you have a different method for finding these things out. Thanks! Love your books on magick! Live by them! Sometimes fearful that I have not studied enough to be doing the rituals, but then again, obstinacy has always been a rooted part of our lives if we've become magicians.

Question, I’ve done the LBR with help from a UA-cam video guided by you. First one I’ve actually done granted the years this topic has held my interest. After completing the ritual I received a clear vision of the 5 angels at each point of the pentagram, but none of which had a face. By extension, would it not also be advisable to eventually work with the Sephiroth and the Qlippoth, in order to integrate the higher self with the shadow? It seems that it might make one a more balanced magician.

What could happen if one has too much solar energy, and ditto for lunar energy?
After doing the kabbalistic cross ritual you've shown in a previous video, I've recently had a "vision" so to speak that was accompanied by the words, "beauty and compassion", which in turn lead me to the Sephirah Tiferet. You said a spell will take the quickest rout to accomplishing the task you set out for it, could this look like a rouge thought form, forcing you to submit down what seems to be a contrary path? I feel like I've been going crazy and it's been tough but I've made the best of everything laid out in front of me. Will a spell or thought form or egregore or even a Goetia only present you with as much as you can handle? After the last several months I definitely understand why some people might say magic can be dangerous. Do you think its possible that some people experiencing mental health issues have inadvertently cast spells, or come into contact with entities they couldn't handle?
I feel like a lot of these answers are coming into light for me naturally, but I'm still really curious to hear what you have to say about it.
