Mr. Jeff Nadu, Congratulations on 75k+ subscribers. I am one, and I am grateful to be early aware of your enjoyable, informative creations. You've just begun!!
Excellent video as always Jeff, best commentator on the organized crime genre on youtube. Frank Calabrese Jr made a comment about the concept of retiring in the Mafia, and I agree with him. He said that the Outfit did allow guys to retire, but they never really left, per se. It was understood that, even if you are retired, if the boss called you, you were expected to come in and report to the boss. I think that is across the board for all the families. I think Cefalu is probably done with the life now, but if the current Gambino administration called him for counsel, or to do a piece of work, he'd do it.
@@casperislamicus I agree that today's LCN keeps violence at the bare minumum. My point is that Cefalu retired or not probably still believes in the Mafia through and through. If they called him in tomorrow he'd report and do what was asked.
Its cool to hear about some of the other families. I havent seen much on Chicago in a long time. Keep up the good work! Congratulations on the 75K! 🥂✨️🍾 100K coming soon!🎉🎉🎉
Great stuff Jeff. Agree with your assessment of the remaining 11 families. Of note, Tampa has 4 made guys left, all over 75, and haven't been active in well over a decade. Vincent LoScalzo is 87.
Good One Jeff 👏 👏 I grew up all around that life Bensonhurst Brooklyn. Can't go into detail but it was all around us that grew up in that neighborhood. One thing it was the safest neighborhood in America literally. They PROTECTED the neighborhood the BEST! Now look what's going on since that life is no where near what it used to be. Got stories for days being around guys and don't regret. I was told I should do a channel I can't I'm to Old School. But it would definitely be a hit with the stories and being around that my whole life nobody has talked about yet on other channels.
yo jeff, i love your stuff. I grew up in philly and used to bet with those guys too. It was a shiittt show. When i won, it would take weeks to get paid because they want you to keep betting and eventually lose. A couple times I got stiffed for over 50k. And if you lose, all hell breaks lose when they want their money. Bet legally, it is worth the tax money.
He was. He was making millions. He decided to give it up and give all his money away so he could eat off the land. He wanted to be off the grid. He's very open about it you can ask him. He'll respond to each question with a 18 paragraph answer. He was the muscle and the brains. He'd basically be the biggest mafia member of all time right now if he didn't give it up. I've always been curious about Gene Gotti too. He always seemed to be just as "Cosa Nostra to the core" as John. I have a hard time believing he's not still involved considering he did substantial time for the family and had a brother that was boss as recently as 2011 (reportedly).
