Nice Father's day present 👍 The 600 is a nice machine, I suggest you watch some videos on it and learn the different settings. I got out yesterday for a few hours got 3 wheaties a 1945 silver war nickel and 2 pretty junker rings👊
Thanks, man. I have been watching a few videos on it. But I figured the best way to learn it is to start swinging it. And congratulations on the awesome finds yesterday.
Nice father's day gift. I have the nox800 and will get the XTERRA PRO soon. 600 is a great machine. Look at some videos that show you to set it up so you do not dig pulltabs. I will dig and know it will most likely be a pulltab. Do not get discouraged. You know a new machine means learning it.
Congratulations. I hunted with Vanquish 340 that got destroyed from water and now hunting with a Nokta Double score and found a class ring in a area the Vanquish missed. I need a back up and was thinking of a EQ 600 so I could have a Minelab and Nokta!!! Im pretty sure you can put the V10 coil off your 440 on your 600 for better accuracy on your targets. But if you go to a beach id go with the bigger coil!!
Congratulations to you.Equinox 600 it's a nice machine it's stable and easy, I'm 15 and I have Garrett 300 it's bad on the beach I hope to have vanquish because it's good than Garrett but I don't have money to buy it, can you give me yours.
I purchased the Equinox 600 last week as a Birthday gift for myself and so far I love it. Ive had quite a few detectors over the years and this one is by far the best. No not all detectors are the same. This particular one is versatile meaning great for any environment and can be use in the water. For some reason, mine doesn't have the menu screen on the front like yours does, but not a big deal though. It is a learning curve to get used to but not that difficult. I also paired my apple earpods to listen to the noises when it detects metal.
Happy birthday. I'm really looking forward to using mine and seeing what it has to offer. But the menu I think you are talking about was a screen saver that came with the machine. There was a huge stack of them with a different language on each one.
@@SMALLTOWNMETALDETECTING oh ok i see. Seems like they are slightly different. Mine came with a threaded coil and only one wing nut for the screw that connects the coil to the poll. Older models came with two wingnuts.
I don't know. I thank the one I have has the threaded coil I will have to go look. But that is very interesting. i wonder how much they have changed over the years.
@@SMALLTOWNMETALDETECTING yeah I also like the detector has bluetooth connection option for any type of headsets. I paired it with my apple earpods. Will be useful in crowded areas like parks and beaches.
If you have any local beaches those are a lot of funt to detect. I found 3 silver rings last year at a private community beach that i got permission to detect.
@@SMALLTOWNMETALDETECTING Nice. Those 2 quart birdseed scoops with a bunch of holes drilled in it works well in shallow water as a sand scoop. I hope you have some good luck.
All machines are the same bud. You have to learn the machine. It's never the machine. It's always the user when you dig a nickel notch. You'll pull 1000 pull tabs before you get a gold ring.! Set that thing up in multitone learn the tones forget about the numbers good luck, bud!HH from MA

Thank you. Yeah, I know I have to learn it. I had already serched that spot with my vanquish. I was just hoping that I had missed something with it.
Heck yeah! Go back over those old spots. That would be interesting. Congratulations
Thanks, buddy. I thought it might be interesting too.

Thank you. I will check and see if the coils are interchangeable.

Thank you, but I'm going to keep my vanquish. So my kids can use it, and I might get it out every now and again.
@@SMALLTOWNMETALDETECTING no problem 😇

@brandonmckittrick2822 Yeah, it is nice having that ability.
The equinox 600 when set up will find coins and rings when set up rite.
Yeah, I'm still trying to figure this thing out.
Run over pull tab and then notch out pull tabs in another saved setting run over it again then decide. Im sure it has notch like the great Vanquish.
I'm going to notch them out next time. I start finding a bunch of pull tabs.
If you have any local beaches those are a lot of funt to detect. I found 3 silver rings last year at a private community beach that i got permission to detect.
There are a few lake beaches within a 2 hour drive. I was actually trying to plan a trip to one of them in the next few weeks.

I dug what I thought was a pull tab and it was a dolphin pendant
That's awesome.
Bro may I leave link to my newest video?! So excited!! Oldest coin find ever!
Yeah, I don't care, buddy.
Check mental metal for better settings. Yes you will find different things with different metal detector.
I just checked, and all I found was for the 700 and 900
was this the old church?
Yes, it was actually the same spot that I already serched with the vanquish to see if the vanquish missed anything.
You need to notch out those pulltabs. I have the 800 Nox myself.
Это для лесов и болот...

Thanks, man. I know it's just me learning the machine. I took it out today and found a few coins sidewalk detecting.
I disagree, not all metal detectors are the same. I have had many of them over the years and the Equinox is so far has been the best.
Bro you know what the Metal Detecting world calls those?! Think of a beaver. That's your clue.
