Glad you guys kept it together and got out. Flashovers are no joke, I too had a fire flash on me and my partner but we were able to quickly get out only suffering 2nd degree burns. To all my brothers, stay safe, and watch each others backs.
If anyone is a current or vet firefighter can you please tell me how to become on of the guys who actually goes into the burning buildings in case of a fire, I don't want to be one of the guys outside with a hose I want to go in. Should I get emt basic or intermediate to do so? What kind of college should I do? How many people in the department actually want to go into the buildings?
Ben H no college needed. Bare minimum to go in for most volunteer companies is Firefighter 1 and the stations own clearance process , as well as several test and a physical.
I dont know many youtube video's that I'd spend an hour watching that dont have smoke and flames involved; but this... I was glued to my screen for the whole thing, even rewinding to hear some things again. What a crazy inspiring story of survival. I'm very happy that this had a good outcome, and these boys got to ride again!
I’m still confused if these guys are paid or volunteer? They say they moved to PG to be a fireman so they volunteer or paid, just confused. Do they work for another department paid.
I had the opportunity to meet Lieutenant Sorrell up in Pennsylvania when a local department had a benefit for these 2 men. While we were at the benefit we were able to speak with O'Toole from his hospital room via video conference. It was truly one emotional evening and the benefit was outstanding.
sooo no one questions why they didn’t get an answer when they called command ? no one questions where the engine was ? no one questions why the engine boss didn’t answer the radio ?and why the front door was shut behind them? guys are lucky to be alive but their are a lot of things wrong and a lot of questions here
This is truly amazing and literally the best survival story I've ever heard, im 17 and working towards a firefighting career and this shows me what can happen but also that just to stay dedicated and keep doing what I love no matter what and make every day the best and live it like its my last cause you never know when that last day may be. Keven O'Toole and Ethan Sorrell are two of the strongest firefighters I've ever probably met/ heard of, for them to keep doing what they love after such a terrible day in there life as a firefighter, and after regaining there strength, to continue there career as a firefighter is truly amazing, and I just want to say that after this story everyone should appreciate what firefighters do and the amount of dedication us firefighters have.
This is what this brotherhood is all about, im a young firefighter (only 4 mounts on the job) and this video just shows me that this is what this is all about! The brotherhood! These two brave brothers are inspiring, and next time ill race on the fire truck to the next fire and thing will get bad, ill remember this story, this unbelievable story, thank u brothers u truly represent us all, the whole brotherhood! (With great respect and love from your brothers in the Israeli fire service)

Just blown away by the heroic actions of young people. Just goes to show there is still faith in life.
Great documentary. Best one I've watched.
I was glued to my phone that entire time!
What a great story! Thanks for sharing and glad our brothers are still with us today.

Volunteers that live in the firehouse for free in exchange for going on runs. Very common thing in that area due to call volume
Is this the last video that you guys did!💘
+Jael Munoz This is the last one in "Season 1". Season 2 will come. . . Eventually haha.
Great video, being an 18 year FF this brings reality to the front of your mind
Very inspiring story to see that Kevin was able to beat the odds and make it back to firefighting. Good luck to both of you and stay safe.

A couple of neighborhood punks started this fire and 2 more abandoned homes near by about a month before this.
Need to do a follow up and get the answer of why the engine never went in with the line.
WOW is all I can say! thank you guys so much for letting them tell their stories!!! Training, ppe and will power saved their lives!!
