Thank you for the breakdown of the audition scrips and your thoughts on what is going to happen. It's much appreciated. Best of luck with your new setup. RIP the background mantlepiece, it will be missed.
Do y'all have a list of all of the submissions for the WOT Icon of previous years? There are some I've loved but forgotten what they're called!! Someone did an Iron & Wine cover about Egwene, it was so beautiful 😭
That first script is unbelievably fucked up. The way she takes pleasure in the pain she feels as her Warder dies is extremely disturbing. And the way she talks to him before killing him is psychotic, I really hope this scene or something similar is in the final product, cause that script honestly gave me chills and would be very effective for new viewers.
It’s a deviation from the books so the book cloaks will lose their shit even more. I think what I dislike from it is it doesn’t show the pain she would cause to herself by killing him. When has a sister killed her own warder black or not (haven’t finished AMOL so no spoilers lol rhetorical question)
@@oluade626 I actually like it, because clearly she DOES feel the pain of her warder dying, but she's psychotic and so she loves pain. Have you not heard of serial killers who experience immense pleasure from pain? It just adds a whole new level of fucked up to the scene in my opinion. It'll be even more effective because they spent so much time already showing the agony warders and Aes Sedai feel when their counterpart dies, like Stepin's grief when Kerene died, and he later killed himself. Another example is in season 2 episode 6 when the yellow sister's warder is killed by the Seanchan and she goes insane. So it'll be that much creepier how this black ajah woman feels pleasure from the unimaginable pain of losing a warder.
You can change the speed of audio books. I never used to like them either, but recently I've been listing along as I read to make sure I'm really paying attention and I set it to 2x speed.
Hasn't helped me. Still fall asleep listening to Audible. Which is why I've switched to the books. Once I complete the series, I plan to re-read using the books, hoping to catch the parts I slept through
I can't wait for the next season. 😃 I don't know if I noticed it at the beginning... but at the end the sound seemed to pause momentarily from time to time (Unless it's my computer acting up...) . I've never seen that before. Gawyn & Galad! I look forward to it.
Jon. I disagree with you that the Tower coup will also not result fighting and death. As pointed out on Talk'anriad (sp - at least this is where I frst heard this observation), we need a bloody Towe coup. Without it, there is np reason for about a 1/3 of the Sister to flee to Salidar. The fighting that resulted from the Blues trying to rescue Siuan and Leane before they were stilled gave reason for the split.
I wonder if the aes sedai from the first script could possibly be a forsaken in disguise as an aes sedai. Not sure if the timeline pans out for that, but it could be an interesting twist. Also, I am sad I won’t be able to watch wot idol live this year 😢.
The Show has introduced the concept of Aes Sedai swearing additional oaths on the Oath Rod. After some of the Black Ajah reveal themselves, one Sister has to suggest that they remove the Oath not to lie and reswear that Oath as well as they are not Black Ajah. It took so long in the books to do that because it was against custom for any Sister to swear an additional Oath.
To me, the bonkers beginning has to be the Black Ajah stealing angreal, sa'angeal, etc, and fleeing the tower to Tanchico. Just seems roo early for the tower coup unless they are doing another time jump and leaving stuff out - Last we saw Siuan she was still in Cairhien (losing Moiraine and Rand to Lanfear) and we haven't even met Elaida yet (Audition script with Leane whilst Siuan was away) for her to sow all the seeds of doubt about Siuan's leadership ability. Not to say there won't be another battle then as well, but the show would have to start with the trial of Siuan and she and Leane being stilled (no idea if Min or Logain get a part to play here.)
The audition script are giving me serious Terry Goodkind vibes, in a very bad way. Very cardboardish cartoony dominatrix-like villain. Not to mention the show so far has really fleshed out their villains, so that they are not just evil psychos. And no AS is exempted from the heartbreaking anguish when the Warder bond is broken by the Warder's death, this is a key element that bolsters how intimate and strong the channeler-warder relationship is throughout the books, even if it is not always in the foreground, so the gloating when a black AS kills her warder is seriously against book lore.
Go to settings and change the play back speed to 1.25 or 1.5 if you need to get through some slog. You will enjoy audiobooks so much more.
Yes I listen @ 1.7-2 times normal. Regular speed is like listening to an intoxicated person read

I wish we can get this season now
Soundscapes is very cool. Thanks

Great stuff as always! And thank you for the kind words! Good luck in the contest everyone :D

100%!
It reminds me of Semirhage and how she behaves with relishing in torture. . .

I can't wait for season 3 feom these scripts to everything I've seen so far it's going to be amazing.

I am the same way. Audiobooks put me to sleep. My remedy was to speed up the tempo of the audio. And that helped.

Do you think the bonker introduction they talked about is Min entering the Tower and having visions?
We can eliminate Jeannie being a Red Ajah. My guess is that she will be revealed as either a green or a yellow Ajah.
Wonder if we will see how the Three Oaths are broken by the Black Ajah
Another great video.

Second script sounds like Amico has an a'dam on. *snap* is Unknown hurting them

First!!
This was leaked weeks ago. Hopefully it's polished up b4 release
1 week ago to be exact. I expect the dialogue to be identical in the final cut, no reason not too since every other audition script was!
