Absolutely bonkers the number of cool things you could do with DQV and Onelake integration. Nice work Zoe!

Really glad to see the push towards "machine-agnostic" workflow support. I'm a Mac guy in a PC-centric enterprise and being able to have desktop functionality in the web is exciting news. Full semantic modeling web capabilities is what I'm hoping that the ultimate goal is with the efforts of Zoe's team.

Q: When Live Connected, I understand not allowing us to define all measures that are from the model, but why can’t I define all measures created in the local report? I was really hoping I could do this so I could easily copy all of the useful measures from the report side to the model side.

Do you know if there are any plans to enable editing of in power bi service semantic models in import mode that have incremental refresh?

I believe this feature could be made nicer by having an option to automatically create a Power Automate flow because many organizations, like mine, create data exports of semantic models for historical data snapshots. I know I can just copy and paste to Power Automate, but it’d still be sick to have the start of this process setup with a click of a button.

I am PL-300 certified and I learned from a mix of Guy in a Cube's old videos and hands-on experience. I used this playlist (ua-cam.com/play/PLv2BtOtLblH13vCbf99BptWWk-EWx7QQG.html) to get started myself. Some of these videos will be outdated since they're 5+ years old, but generally this information should be helpful.
I started by building reports with data that I would understand and easily be able to contextualize. I had prior work experience in inventory management at a grocery store, so I build a database with a fact table and a dimension table for items, sales, losses, damages, # of items, and so on. I used this to familiarize myself with the platform, then I moved on to larger datasets (Videogame server data in my case) to get experience with large semi-unorganized data. I had to learn, with Guy in a Cube's help, how to transform data models to fit my needs.
Five years later, and I am unparalleled in my company with Power BI.
If you're looking for something more formalized, I would highly recommend looking into the free resources for the PL-300 certification on the Microsoft website. It won't be as entertaining as Guy in a Cube, but if you're just needing to get your hands on the info you will need and don't need the additional stimulation, these resources will prove helpful.

Update PBI semantic models directly on SERVICE "new" query view feature ?
ADVISE ==> For power Bi projects under DATA OPS CICD ( github synchronization + deployment pipeline)
Update only for "Feature" type WS linked a feature branch
