I saw Charlie marching in the parade; he was an ex-Post office employee who suffered from mental/emotional/behavioral disabilities; he always wore a blue overall, sunglasses, and a hat covered with many different buttons I encountered him many times during the time I lived in Crown Heights between 1986-1988 and he was always dressed that way He was one of the more flamboyant people who was attracted to Crown Heights and Yiddishkeit and was aware that there was something of great significance happening in Crown Heights, but he couldn’t understand what it was He also had a terrible case of psoriasis or some other similar skin disease to the extent that no one would shake his hand, and a very bad case of dandruff in his long braided hair; you don’t see the dandruff in this video, maybe he was taking better care of himself in those years I happened to arrive at the Rebbe’s house to pay a shiva call when the Rebbitzen Chaya Mushka died at the same time as Charlie did - they let me in but they wouldn’t let Charlie in Once they let Charlie hold the Torah during a service and afterwards I said to the Rabbi, “Between his skin disease and obvious mental illness, should he really be allowed to handle the Torah ?” I have always remembered what that Rabbi spoke to me in reply, “Yes, we all know about Charlie, but whatever is wrong with him cannot harm the Torah, whereas him having physical contact with a Torah scroll can only be of benefit to him - and where else but in a Lubavitch setting would someone like Charlie be even allowed near a Torah, much less to handle one ? “ I moved out of Crown Heights in 1988; in the 34 years since then I don’t think I thought about Charlie until I saw him in this video today Does anyone know what happened to him ?
Ama RAB'bin meleği, Tişbeli İlyas'a şöyle dedi: “Kalk, Samiriye Kralı'nın habercilerini karşıla ve onlara de ki, 'İsrail'de Tanrı yok mu ki Ekron ilahı Baal-Zevuv'a danışmaya gidiyorsunuz?

קיום מצות ואהבת לרעך כמוך מבטל כל הגזרות !
הצדיקות והצדיקים במותם חיים כי דיבוריהם נישמעים יותר
שניגמרו ימי האבל
ודבריו חיים וקיימים לעד !
Wonderful .Baruch HaShem

TODA RAVA
לא הייתי התינוקת החופשיה האחרונה
הבריחה מהכבוד המדמה שבנידמה
ולא האישה האמא הסבתא הילד
הרודף אחרי הכבוד הכבוד בורח מימנו
