Scooby-doo also might be cryptidcore! I know there was always someone behind supernatural things but the aesthetic of the show fits pretty well with cryptidcore sorry for my bad english
Heard of this aesthetic, never really delved into it, but it's basically me most of my life. I used to be deep into crypto zoology when I was a teen (through, as living in Europe, the cryptics and mythological creatures are a different than in North America), and the history of mythological creatures and beings from all over the world. The look is me to a T, I always felt it was a trying to look timeless, a bit dark themed, comfortable enough for going outside on a hike, and "normal~ish" at the same time. I do feel it's more so about a mindset that's possibly all over the world, so just clothes that fit those themes where you live work (for me I just wear jeans, favorite metalbands T-shirts, hoodies, leather jacket and combat boots, but I'm from northern Europe so it works for here). I basically love the feeling of a normal world but with the possibility of magic, the supernatural and adventure around the corner. There is also definitely the elements of gothic, magical realism and urban fantasy present. For similar aesthetics I'd like to point out cottagegore, dark naturalism, and suburban gothic. (this aesthetic makes me so happy, I love so many elements of this).

"I liked BigFoot a huge ton when I was younger, and I love analog horror. This is perfect" Now, I am here :D

loving this aesthetic! it's been my main aesthetic for a few month now, and I'm loving it! tho, it might just be my oppinion, but for me I always layer A LOT when I dress cryptidcore. I put tons of accessories and stuff, including gloves, ties (also, I feel like this wasn't specified in this video, but I feel like shirts and ties are keys elements elements too, think about fox muddler from x-files) bone related jewelery, (LOTS OF) patches, badges, lanyards too. also off topic but I love mixing this aesthetic with punk and emo styles :))

Also, do you know anything I can look up for regional gothic compilations cause I tried searching it up and only got ich came up.
It did seem funny to me as well in the articles I read (since I grew up hearing about it), but perhaps it could be considered something that is forming into an actual cryptid as time goes on. For regional gothic I also had trouble finding information, but if you look for example “northern gothic” and “southern gothic” or “[insert state/city name] gotchic” you can find more examples, since its style varies depending on location . Hope this helps :)
Cryptids actually don’t have to be very old. There can be “new” cryptids, they just have to be a creature that is believed to exist, and have not been proved to NOT be real, but are not acknowledged to officially exist. Siren head was made by a horror artist and Slenderman was created for a horror photo editing contest, so it’s extremely easy to say they simply do not exist. Thus they have concrete proof, and are fictional creatures rather than Cryptids. Their age isn’t what keeps them from cryptid status, it’s their clear creation and confirmed fictional origins.
