My first car was a low mileage 1962 Ford Falcon 2dr. in white/blue. Dead nuts reliable and a great example of American engineering. Jay's car here brings back a whole lotta memories! In fact my 2nd car was a 1965 Mustang w/ 289ci V-8. The Mustang body a knockoff of the Ford Falcon and the 289 was a successor to the 260 V-8. Give Ford credit for making a wildly successful parts bin car and creating an entirely new genre (pony car).
My dad owed this year and model- silver with black interior , 3 speed manual Followed that with a green auto 67 mustang fastback Not bad ford book -ends
Dad owed a 64 sprint. Silver not sure if interior was black or dark red ? Several years later hit by another and totaled purchased a 67 mustang fast back new in 67 … green. Not bad choices !
3:06 The side Stainless Steel Chrome Piece that runs from the Front Fender to the Rear is shaped like a Rocket with Exhaust Fins. The Rear Tailights were copied from a Jet Turbine Fighter Jet in Afterburner glowing Red. Today's Cars don't have those unique designs.
Drove a delivery car for a medical lab. I had my license less than a month 16 years old. 67 ford falcon 289 hi performance. Lets just say I made the faster delivery in town.
An interesting and very rare car. I love the red paint and chrome wheels. Are you sure the engine is original after all these years? I think Ford had a high performance version of the 260 rated at 240 HP.

Ford never built a HIPO Falcon
Nice car, if it had the 4 speed it would be a great car!
