Thank you so much for doing this! My stylist doesn't want me to dye my hair black, but this is proof that some black dyes aren't permanent.
If your hairstylist didn't already know that maybe you need a new hairstylist 😅 to be fair, fashion colors can still stain the hair!! To the point not even bleach can remove it 🤔 I mean 100 washes for someone who shampoos their hair 3x/week would be about 7 1/2 months, which is a long time for a "semi permanent" dye! Would be interesting to see a color remover or bleach over this swatch to experiment.
I mean it was a huge pain to remove from mine and I diluted it pretty heavily
@@jadeintheparke1 I agree! I used a tiny bit to darken a lighter color I already had on hand, and it took bleach, a bleach bath, and THEN color correction 🤦🏼♀️
When I did this color I had essentially white hair before I dyed it. As it faded it turned more blue in spots, purple in others, turquoise almost on the roots. It was honestly incredible, every wash I basically got a new galaxy in my hair. It washed out into a light blue once I began fading it with dandruff shampoo, very pretty.
Anyone who got green hair after keep in mind Transylvania is very blue based and if your hair isn’t lightened enough and has too many yellow tones it’ll probably fade to green. Blue+ yellow= green
I put it on top of green hair that was precious red so it went like
Red>> faded coral>>> lime green>> black and it’s been fading decently well into a navy blue 🫡

I couldn’t even bleach it out, it turned green and blue and resembled dishwater. Great video!

this dye turned most of my hair green with random areas of purple and teal, it’s horrible 😭 i’m going to put AF violet dream over it and hope it looks okay

Thanks I noticed when I put it over other colors it also changed color. Over a red it stayed green. Took forever to get out of my hair.
No wonder that was so hard to get out of my hair...I will never use that again
PSA to anyone who wants to use this dye: if you bleach it, it turns red/pink. Convenient if you want to go red, orange, or purple afterwards!

How do you tone out the red or pink
i strand tested this and i got scared because of how pigmented it was. (it just won't stop bleeding!) now i really only use it in small portions as to deepen or add blue to my color mixes.

I died my hair with Transylvania and the fading process was terrible it could’ve been because of how I bleached my hair was a little yellow in some spots because I did it at home but the black ended up fading to this really gross green and it was really bad i’ve never had an experience like that with arctic fox so I was a little shocked
Could you please do a video showing how a vitamin c treatment would affect the color fading process? I wash my hair maaaaaybe like 1-2 times a week so it would take me like 2 years to get it out of my hair with shampoo. 😅

my Transylvania always turns purple, which honestly always turns me off from using it haha
what level is your hair bleached to? and did you put it over any residual colour? Sorry for the questions, I'm just trying to figure out what will happen to my hair.

Has anyone put transylvania on pink hair?
I did. I had virgin pink on my level 5-6 brown hair, with money pieces bleached to about 8-9. About 3 months in, I added Transylvania all over. Had a purple and blue almost oil slick look. I loved it and got a lot of compliments.
