"Autofeeder" my ass - Cat hacks Petmate Le Bistro

- Kishka's figured out exactly how she can extract food from this Petmate Le Bistro timer autofeeder any time she pleases. Other cats on UA-cam have proven that one can hack the feeder in gentler ways, but oh no ... not for this little one. She insists on roughing it up.

Morons with degrees never admit that they're idiots. So no, they're not thinking they need to learn from a cat.
They were lacking ingenuity :).
I have the same dispensers, my cats would stick their paws up the shoot as well to get to the food. I ended up cutting plastic from a 2 litter bottle to make a shield so they could not stick them up there but still let the food dispense. Too funny how they figure things out if they really want something.

lol it's amazing how cats learn to circumvent these automatic feeders. There's tons of videos here on UA-cam showing how they hack these things to get free food. :-)

Well I just bought the new version and it works that way, sorry I couldn't come up with some sort of contraption to help your problem.
Clayton Nall I would recommend the newest version, because they made a adjustment where there is a one way food flap where if your cat tries to get more food, they simply can't and it truly works my cat tried to get more food but she couldn't hope this had helped. :)

Cats are way smarter than we give them credit for. If they had thumbs, they might give us a run for our money but as of yet humans are the only ones who can work the can opener and the door knob

Ive always wondered why on eart do these auto feeder have transparent bowl? To let the dog/cat see the food? So they know the food inside?
I suppose so the people can see the food level. But the cats can too.

mine is broken in as it no longer dispenses portions, whenever kibble is removed from the dispensing tray, more kibble drops instantly, or should i say "automatically"No portion control
Seems like a lot of work. I don't know if my cats would go for that or not.

I know this video is from years ago, but did you notify Petmate that your cat outsmarted their engineers? Also, she is going to break some teeth if she continues to steal food.
Cats outsmart pretty much all of these things. They are excellent at figuring out how to get into anything they want
Just feed the cat this reminds me of the kid that needs fathers permission to sleep some people need the control.

Nothing wrong with filming your cat hacking a machine designed for weight control. The cat does not mind the “struggle” because the hunt is half the fun. It’s in his genes.
This video is 10 years old, but I’m sure once they stopped recording, they gave him food and examined the machine. The cat was not mistreated.
