or you could just make the drink instead of dancing with the cups? this way you don't waste people's time at the bar, serve more customers over the course of an evening, and you'll make your business more money. or do people pay extra for the juggling routine?

I love the definition of "dancing with the cups" 🤣🤣. Thank you. That is what I will tell people I do for a living now.
"No, I'm not a flair bartender. I dance with cups".
Oh, and I serve fast, make great drinks and made the bars I worked for a LOT of money. I always had the most sales and generated the most tips

That same logic could be applied to a lot of things. Imagine you bought a Broadway ticket, went to the show, and were mad it turned out to be a musical instead of a cliff notes version. If you don't want pizzazz, go to a dive bar not known for pizzazz. That's what this guy does for a living. He's not working dives. He's the whole damn musical performance, and people are willing to pay extra for that. I can guarantee he doesn't spend all day making Jack and Cokes or serving canned PBR that don't warrant this kind of exceptional flair.

have you ever been to a bar? lol customers always react positively to these little tricks and often tip extra to bartenders performing them. if you’re sitting at a bar drinking, why would a little entertainment hurt? not to mention it’s a way for the worker to have fun and enjoy making your drink. if it bothers you look away lol that simple. hateful for no reason go out and enjoy the world.
