Thank you so much for doing this brings back so many memories the year 1968 and we stayed here for the summer to the year 1975 we were in Wildwood Crest but we would go all over. Going to the zoo Boardwalk when I was little and it's not there anymore.

Any part specifically? I know a lot of the locals were not happy with most of the newer properties that break with the towns aesthetic.

For me, it’s been the loss of that restaurant on Decatur Street where Columbia Avenue starts, the reformatting of Rotary Park from a quaint park with a gazebo into a modern art masterpiece, the convention hall being turned into a glorified setup for shops, and Wildwood being overpopulated and overrun with way too many people, barring that H2oi incident earlier this year

My family used to vacation here in the 1960s. What I miss the most is the original town center on Washington Street. Koch's Bakery had the best pastries I've ever eaten anywhere. Dad went to Keltie's News Agency to buy a New York Times every morning. There was a wonderful old book store right where the that old clock stands along the mall. I remember there was a butcher shop there somewhere, maybe it was part of a food market. I also really miss the fresh fish you could buy out at the marina. The fishing boats would bring in their catches for the day around 4 to 5:00pm everyday and you could buy it at the fish market at the docks. There was a sign there that said that eating fish was good for your brain. Well, I could go on but that's enough for now! Cape May holds so many good memories me. I centainly like a lot of what has happened with the preservation of the old houses, but I sure miss the old Washington Street downtown area.
