Absolutely amazing
I cringed at using a bradpoint drill as a centerpunch on metal. the plane turned out very nice. in other grooving plane videos,i noticed they cut the chip relief hole and put an angle on the tip of the wedge piece near the cutting edge to turn the chips outward. that should be easy to do on your plane wedge.
I was wondering about the counter sunk holes with the round head screws. Reminds me of when I was starting out

This kind of circular saw blade is too soft for making tools.
I would agree with you, but I am just a hobbyist. This tool is not going to see a lot of heavy work, and I don't mind sharpening it between uses.
