Yes sir! I used to look forward watching this. Amazing find! I’m glad you were able to feature the clip of the car. I distinctly remember the car scene, when the Lamborghini makes those 90 degree turns at full speed 😅I think I would still enjoy watching it again. Thank you for the memories. 👍🏼💯
I saw it pop up on Twitter today and it brought back such cool memories as kid here in New Zealand in 1983/4 it was national tv. We didn't have cable back then and it was on around the 7.30 to 8.30pm here so I got to watch it before going to bed. Checking out the toy now, since I am a collector fan etc.
Thank you making this video! I remember watching the show when it originally aired back in 1983. As a Tron fan, I was ecstatic! However, I never knew they made an action figure until years later. But I just acquired a loose Automan figure online, which I should have within a few days. I'm excited to finally have one, knowing how rare they are.
@@OpenByChance you're right about that! I got my Automan yesterday and love the figure. It has a certain charm to it that's difficult to describe. I made my own cardback for display purposes, which looks pretty good. This is probably my favorite 'obscure' action figure from the 80's.
Very cool if obscure figure, I vaguely remember the show being shown in the UK! I do have a Commodore 64 game that came in quite large packaging. Great video!
In some respects david iam so glad we never got the Walter, Capt boyd and Lt. Curtis figures. I think youre right when you said its pretty much just going to be a different head on the same body type with prob the same 80's suite. This has a TRON kind of vibe too it. I think i was watching the Cosby Show cause i have no remembrance of this show at all.
Ok, am I the only dude that remembers that short lived show?
I knew exactly what it was, when I saw it LOL! Good stuff David!
A lot of people don't remember, (or barely remember) this!

It's a real nostalgic throwback, and tough to find now!

They don't turn up very often!

Great video. I shared it in my Glen A Larson Facebook group called G.A.L.
I appreciate that, thanks!
I remember the show, it was aired here in Denmark back in the day ;)
Few people remember this show!
I loved it! It was excellent! I watched it when it aired. I believe the car was a Lamborghini LP400
Gotta love the sharp turns the car makes!
Yes I remember both of those shows. Did they ever make any kind of a toyline for Manimal?
I don't believe they did...

Not too many people remember this show! It's down there with StreetHawk and Manimal!
Hello Crumb the Show Case Pusscat ! He remembers 'Automan' in another life ! 🐱🧡
He couldn't help sticking his nose in!
I have two carded Automan action figs, one unpunched with a clear bubble and the other with a yellowing bubble :)
Not too many people have one of these!
I’d love pick up an auto man figure I’ve got my eye on a few on eBay so fingers crossed 🤞 I can grab me one
Tough to find in decent shape.
I was born in 1976 and I honestly don't remember this show? Remember the show Werewolf and Forever Knight?
Do you remember Manimal or Steethawk?
Yea the car and the copter were made
If you searched for this, your age is most likely be 40 years old and above.
Few people know about this figure!

They used the same type of highly reflective material for his suit as was used in Tron.
I have one of those. Yours looks like it has a different head, yours doesnt even look like Automan. Any idea why?
Not sure why the head sculpt would be different.
@@OpenByChance im confused too. Look at pics online, your head doesnt even look like Automan. Mine and all the others ive seen do.
