Wish I would've found you guys sooner! Great work and even better that your giving these homes a longer life! This has been my dream to start small with campers or single wides then work my way up. This gives me hope that I'll get there. Until then I've been trying my absolute best to fix up my great aunts 1974 single wide. She is an incredible lady and her 3/2 single wide has helped house so many people in our family over the years. So my dream is to make her home a place to finish out the rest of her life happy. The subfloors are a mess and when plywood was a good price I couldn't really afford new flooring for everywhere. Now I have an amazing waterproof luxury vinyl flooring and for living room, hallway and kitchen. Then I have a really nice laminate for the bedrooms. I already had sheet vinyl for the bathrooms but I'm hoping to have enough of the waterproof vinyl leftover to do them as well. Just gotta get the plywood for the subfloor and we're in business! I just can't wait to see it all finished. Everything else is pretty well done. Painted dang near everything white and grey with black furing strips for trim. Definitely went with the more industrial farmhouse look as well. Seriously great channel hope everything is still going great for you guys. Proof that single wides are worth the flip! Thanks again!!
Thank you Hope! This home did sell quickly and the bathtub was a big feature they liked. We love putting something unique in our houses to make them sell
All of the flooring in this house looked luxe. It may be worth adding granite or quartz countertops because they may bring a higher sale price. So $2000 more invested may bring more in the end and be worth it. But the mobile home market and finishes may be different than other homes.
Oh my you guys had such great vision and did amazing choices that really updated and brought out the value of the home. It’s sooooo beautiful and the third bedroom really would make a great home office. The bathtub is amazing! Good job!
I just found your channel, and promptly subscribed! I have a mobile home, too, and am nearing the end of a remodel due to a water leak. What at first seemed to be a disaster turned out to be a blessing in disguise because I got new flooring in my kitchen, dining room and bathroom! I also made a few additional improvements, too, and it’s turning out so beautifully. So, when I saw one of your videos, I clicked on it and once I saw what you are all about, I immediately subscribed! I love this and am at the beginning of binge watching your channel!! This home turned out just stunning, you guys did an amazing job; I’m so impressed!! THAT TUB.....I would have bought that home just for that!!! I got a new bathtub, too, but it sure as heck isn’t that one....the king of bathtubs!! I can’t wait to see your other videos. God bless you and your darling family! ❤️
Thank you so much for the sub and the kind words. We're so busy we've been struggling to upload here on UA-cam but we're hoping to fix that soon. We have several new videos in the works. Stay tuned!
You did a fantastic job. A few tips/pointers 1)most people want a closet a both front and back entries to place coats, boots etc without traipsing through rooms to put them away. 2) in order to stay within budget, DON'T go for high end things like that claw foot tub. YES, it looked awesome, but it's an expense you could have done without. 3) next time you decorate, do so with an extreme eye toward looking good but from an "everyman" perspective . NOT so much from your dream home perspective. 4) if you aren't going to live there don't get too fancy or extravagant
We’ve learned a lot since that first one and we totally agree! The claw foot tub was fun but definitely overkill for a mobile home budget. Thanks for the tips!
It would be better to treat your business as a business in the example of buying fixtures in bulk. It would be so much more economical than customizing each mobile home and it would grow your business faster!
WOW! I love this home! My sister and I live together in a mobile home park for seniors and we love it. We're beginning to plan some renovations and that's how we found your channel. You're ideas are so great! I want to see if we can find that faux marble vinyl for our laundry room and bathrooms. Love it. Do you have a foundation or non-profit? I love what you do. God bless!
Hi La Rae, We did make a profit on this one. We aim for 50% return on our investment so our standard goal is to put in about 80k on purchase, remodel and sale of the home and earn 40k. Sometimes we hit, sometimes we miss but that’s our goal. It’s very area specific though. In Portland Manufactured homes are much more expensive than in most other areas of the country.
Jesus that's a rip off, 20,000 for the trailer and then you are going to charge someone 120,000 just because you gutted and repainted. You guys are screwing people over. No trailer used renovated or not is worth the rip off, not even in Portland!
@@christyb3128 I guess you have no idea how much renovations cost. The kitchen expense alone was probably 15,000.00. Moving walls, putting new flooring in the whole home, windows, any exterior work, heating and air conditioning, hot water heater, electrical, plumbing, etc, and that’s not included paying their help, any independent contractors, permits, taxes, insurance. With them getting the home for that price they were able to put higher end finishings and after the renovation that house is totally worth ever dime !!
God's plans for us are truly not what we would have imagined. Mind blowing of the transformation 👍🏼 Would it be too much work for you to edit the last bit of this video? Or just add the IG A/C of living.hope.renovations at the end where you put your personal IG? Also is it just me or you haven't completed the description of this video with the IG name 😁
Hi Gigi! thanks for the heads up on the description box. I just added the link. Yes, at this point the video has to remain as is. It would take a couple hours to take it down, edit, export and re-upload etc, and for such a small detail its not really worth it.
Hoooooly BLEEEEEEEP!!!! That looks amazing! Personal opinion, IKEA is overrated and over priced. That's me tho. Kitchen/dining room/living room look great!Ha ha ha ha. FYI.... IT'S NOT A MOBILE HOME, ITS A MANUFACTURED HOME!!!! Learn the terminology lady!
People - check out IKEA’s returned items/scatch & dent area. You can find enough cabinets to rehab a mobile home if you keep going there & checking on what’s available. You can save a bunch!
Y'all are Absolutely professional on remodeling
Your work is 100% spot on...Excellent chose on the paint.. This place looks really Exceptional..
That is a very nice renovation.
Great job
Very nice 👍

Beautiful. I'm sure the tub made this a fast seller vs the competition. You both have talent that is a gift to others.

Wow!! That’s the best looking renovated mobile home I’ve seen!! Beautiful job!! I’d live there in a heartbeat!!!

Stunning home! With the ikea kitchen do you find someone to install or do the ikea people come an install?
She mentioned who helped install the cabinets. I’m thinking it was one of their talented carpenters.
Looks great! How long did the remodel take?
That was our first and took 7 months. 😱😬 wayyy too long.

Such a pretty bathroom then we see the shower 😱
What is your prep/ paint choice for the cabinets?
We actually replaced all the kitchen cabinets. The bathroom cabinets we sanded, primed and painted 👍🏼 then updated hardware.

It's called oil rubbed bronze.
Really cool channel!!!
Thanks so much! We’re going to be putting out new content soon. Stay tuned!
Hi there! Did you make a profit from this? Are you going to be sharing financials such as purchase price, invesment, and sale price?? So interested!!!

oh jebuz .... make me barf.
ok
Spent a lot on that mobile home. Looks great but lost a lot of profit. What did y'all pay for the mh and what are you selling it for?
Well, for us it’s not all about profit. 😊We bought this home for $20k and sold it for $125k.

Thank you! That tub is our pride and joy.

Wow poor house, it was unloved before.
