How To Make Millions In GTA 5 Story Mode! (Stock Market Money Guide)

- In this video I show you how to make money with the stock market in GTA 5 Story Mode! I've done videos on this before but I decoded to make a new one so that I could explain the process better. I hope this make sense and you are able to become a billionaire as well :)
One shortcut I forgot to mention was to press triangle when on the phone to back out quickly. It's a small detail but one that saves time in the long run.

PART 1 ($0 - $13+ Million):
Part 1 is simply playing through the story mode until you finish the sixth and final heist, "The Big Score". Once you have done that you will have made anywhere from approximately $12,000,000 to $41,000,000.

Make sure you only do the first of 5 Lester Assassination Missions as you will need to save the final 4 for part 2!
PART 2 ($13+ Million - $200+ Million)
Part 2 is where the big money is made. Some may even be able to make out their money at $2.1 Billion after this. Essentially you will be doing the Lester Assassination Missions while investing in stocks that the missions will affect in order to earn insane returns! The list of instructions for each mission is below.
Multi Target Assassination Mission:
1. Buy Debonaire stock before the mission
2. Wait for a 40%-100% return on Debonaire
3. Sell Debonaire Stock
4. Buy Redwood stock after selling Debonaire
5. Wait for 200%-300% return on Redwood
6. Sell Redwood Stock
Vice Assassination Mission:
1. Buy iFruit stock before the mission
2. Wait for a 20%-60% return on iFruit stock
3. Buy Facade stock after selling iFruit
4. Wait for 20%-40% or more return
5. Sell Facade stock
Bus Assassination Mission:
1. Buy Vapid stock after mission
2. Wait for a 79%-100% return on Vapid
3. Sell Vapid stock
Construction Assassination Mission:
1. Buy Gold Coast stock before the mission
2. Wait for a 50%-100% return on Gold Coast
3. Sell Gold Coast stock
The expected returns are estimates so you may receive better or worse returns
PART 3 ($200+ Million - $2.1 Billion)
Part 3 is a stock market trading method I have formulated over time. It has 6 simple steps, which are outlined below.
I suggest investing with one character at a time*
Step 1: Create a save file before investing so there is a backup in case anything goes wrong.
Step 2: Find a stock that has been steadily declining in price for 5 days in a row (this is illustrated in the graph from the video). Invest all of your money into that one stock.
Step 3: Sleep in game to speed up in game time and change the stock price. Only sleep a maximum of 5 times. If you haven't seen a descent positive return by the fifth time I suggest reloading the save file you created and choosing a new stock.
Step 4: Once you have a 1-5% (suggested amount) positive return on the stock, sell the stock.
Step 5: Create a new save file with your new amount of money by quick saving.
Step 6: Repeat until you hit $2.1 Billion :)

Just got back into online after a 8 year hiatus and want to finish the story line so this is much appreciated. Way easier to understand than other videos without having to do a bunch of things to make money with the market.
I just used your trick of putting money on stocks that were low for almost a week and saved to 6 of 8 being in green!!! Awesome!!!! Thanks.
Figured this out for my PC playthrough. Franklin now owns all property except golf club, ONLY after first heist.
$42,000+ every 5.5 hours.

@@pankajdeka4062 Well my focus was Franklin's characters. I picked up all the money cases as him, bought smoke on the water as soon as possible. Rob armory trucks, find the stranger and freaks stolen bicycle. After you get a good amount u can either start playing with stock market like the video says OR wait until u own the Sonar Dock, grab another $690k THEN do first mandatory Lester mission. That should get you between 50-80 profit.
If you use the video's guide after that, you can amass millions easily.

Once one is located, it's either parked or driving.
If its parked kill the two gaurds grab money and leave.
If its driving shoot two wheels forcing truck to stop kill two gaurds, yhen use a shotgun on middle of back door until it opens.

I prefer throwing a sticky bomb on the back door while driving behind the van, then bomb the door and steal the case, that is the easiest way for me.

make a new save to revert back to in case plan fails
price decline for 4-5 days
difference in price between current value and last avg is a decent amount
low and value are same or similar
avg change: 15-20%
after finding the stock to invest, invest all money u have into that stock
sleep
if there is a 1-2% or higher increase, sell.
if successful and you make profit, overwrite that save you made earlier
if unsuccessful, and the stock value goes down, sleep 4-5 times. if value is still negative, revert to save and try again

I came back to GTA 5 after 9 years. I used to play when I was 12 and wanted to but everything but ran out of cash quick. I found this just now at the ripe age of 21 and this is utmost exquisite. It actually works though. I got 500K on my first try
It works, but it is better to keep an eye on how much a currency can go down and that way you can know when to invest to wait for the raise

Option 2 is to create a save file, instead of saving everytime you sleep you can back out and the time will still pass without saving, watch what stocks go up and reload your save to invest in the ones that go up.

What I did was invest in the highest price stock that is at its lowest price and save game. Sleep without save and check. If the value went up, I save the game. If down, I load last save and do the same again until it goes up. If value goes up, save it. If value goes down, load it back
I got 28M from the final heist and invested all. Ended up with over 200M, after this process

Does this work for PS4 story mode? And do you have to do anything specific cuz I just started out story mode and I have barely any money I would imagine you would have to do it after the first heist you do with the diamond place, but idk

I’m having a lot of issues with the save thing. I 100% do not have auto save on and I am saving the game before I invest but it is not keeping my cash when I go back to the save file when I had a bad investment. I had a few million and now literally have 2 dollars. Any and all tips would be greatly appreciated
The only thing that comes to mind is the stock market bug. Basically sometimes after you buy some shares they won't appear in your portfolio and you'll lose all of the money. To avoid this happening, only buy 1 stock. If it appears in the portfolio, then click on that share and buy the rest. This is the only thing that I can think of. If this isn't the problem then I don't know what to say. I hope I was clear enough
The exact same thing happened to me. I tried to go to my save file but when i do it says my portfolio empty and I lost all my money and i’m also left with only 2 dollars.

Even though you create a save file, you waste a lot of time and do a lot of risky things (like thinking time will 'update' your portfolio) in believing this will work! PLEASE read comments BEFORE attempting this!!!!!

This only works ONCE. After just one save the stock value goes back down again and doesn't work again for nearly an ingame week after that

When I buy a stock it is not showing in my portfolio, I just finished the big Heist and I am trying to do this with Franklin. I know it am saving and buying them right but it’s like glitched or something. Any tips?

@KUSOSOUND yeah, the trophies about spending the large amount of money takes some time but the stocks really help finish that quickly. The ones that took awhile were the spaceship and submarine parts...aswell as the murder mystery stuff

I had the same problem. What fixed it for me was just buying one single share in the stock and make sure it's in your portfolio. Once it's in your portfolio you can buy the rest and it should all be there. Also make sure you're clicking continue after buying them.

@@Sicuta. it was done on purpose. Pay attention to the mouse when you move it around. It's an arrow until you move it and then it turns into a pointing middle finger instead of the index finger. That's something I didn't notice until the other day
I have 2 mill with Franklin, and did everything you said to do and I am always losing money, instead of earning. Am I doing something wrong
Make sure to do the saves correctly and no matter what you will either keep what you have or make profit, if u lose money load last save from when you had your original full amount and start again, if you profit then create a new save
