Great, honest review, and why I'm subscribed to your channel. I'm at the opposite end of the size range from you (6'3" and 245#) but had similar experiences.
I have the H2 saddle with triad bridge and used it from September 2021 to January 2022. I've actually stopped watching saddle reviews generally because I just don't need to look elsewhere. But your content is always good and as hunting season approaches I thought I'd tune in for some updates.
You point out the MOLLE and I had the same mini-critique. I bought a Tethryd gear pouch and it's essentially incompatible with the wider MOLLE on top. I regularly had the buckle used for retention slip out and almost have my bag fall out. Not a dig on either brand, just a lesson learned. I ended up giving the Tethryd bag to a friend and used good old MOLLE dump pouches (I think gas mask pouches, with bungee cord closures on top) from the local Army Surplus store. Regarding your note on the floppy lineman loops, I agree and H2 actually recommends inserting a zip tie into the webbing and has a video on it. Should it be fixed in design? Maybe/probably but its such an easy mod (and everyone love to "mod" stuff) its worth the few minutes at the reduced cost of the saddle itself. Its nothing compared to buying budget sticks and then modding them (e.g. Hawk Heliums).
I'm a big dude and tweaked and adjusted to get even pressure. For all day sits I would adjust from sitting and leaning as needed. Maybe other saddles just "work" but after a sit or two I figured the H2 out and had no issues.
Also worth mentioning and probably well outside your capacity to review but I have contacted H2 with various questions on various occasions about maintenance, etc. and received very detailed responses immediately. And that included a question about certification and standards because some managed hunt programs in my state require TMA. As former engineer, H2's affiliation with ASTM matters to me. I appreciate that TMA is engaged with ASTM and that H2 is directly supporting that effort. Aside from a quality product, regardless of the "budget" designation, the near real-time and personal customer service has definitely bought some customer loyalty from me.
Good luck to you and my fellow hunters this season. Thank you for another excellent review!

Between this and the CGM cobra which would you recommend for a first saddle?

I’m currently testing it now. It probably won’t be on the channel until September though because I have a few due up before it.

I have one of the originals. Good product, the Gen2 linesman's loops are better by far and overall I think H2 has some of the best value products in the industry.

I had a terrible experience with my triad bridge. I ended up throwing it in the trash bin.

How is 200 dollars for just the saddle "budget"

Because that’s on the lower end for the saddle market. I can only think of two saddles that cost less, not including the Hawk saddle because it’s garbage.

@@SaddleHunter I paid $199 for my Trophyline Covert Lite saddle..... it is a little bulkier than I would like, but I can easily do all day sits in that thing with no issues at all. I really like how minimal the Hotshot and Slingshot are though.
