I had the good fortune, as a child, to be at the Grandes Eaux Musicales in the late 1980s. My parents and I were on our way back from the Atlantic coast with a caravan. In the early evening, we had parked on the Place d'Armes because the camping lot was full, and by mere chance, we saw that there was an event at the château later that evening. There were still tickets for sale, so we went in. The sunset over the Grand Canal, then later the fireworks seen from the great terrace, and the lawn leading down to the Bassin d'Apollon illuminated in a chequerboard pattern were magnificent. I have fond memories of that summer evening, and I still have the brochure somewhere.

Thanks for these reconstructions. I was under the impression that the Tree Fountain, supposedly designed by Madame Montespan, was a Willow tree vs the Magnolia tree which is depicted. Would be great to see the Grotto, Tree fountain, Marly and the Porcelain Trianon reconstructed.

Dieser Hain mit den Glasperlen ist das Hässlichste, womit man den schönen Park von Versailles verschandeln konnte......

Les vidéo incomplets, copiés rapidement sur la chaîne France 3 qui diffuse le programme culturel 'racines et des ailes' , selon le goût trop personnel de ''DRDA''
Bref, un raccourci sans valeur
