George Duke - Rush Hour (with Chester Thompson)

From the Montreux Jazz Festival (July 16, 2001). George played this funky odd meter tune in an acoustic trio format, which featured Christian McBride on bass and Chester Thompson (his old buddy from the Mothers days) on drums. I love this performance, since it has Chester's signature groove throughout. Also, don't miss the quote from My Favorite Things!

I love Billy's version too, but I do love how Chester Solos with the melody the way he does, such a Master..
