I am literally coming to this video right after listening to a Swan Lake video. I've been going down the Tchaikovsky rabbit hole this past week. He was truly incredible.
I have always had a certain reservation about John Williams scoring the Harry Potter films (In my opinion, his style just doesn't fit the narrative, and I say this as someone who read the first four books at least six months before the movie came out) but speaking to Williams's ability to write classical scores, he was still at the top of his game when he wrote this one. It is objectively a very impressive score to listen to, whether you are a fan of the books, the movies, both or neither.

John Williams' music ELEVATES the Harry Potter films and his scores for the Potter films are aguably the best work he's done within the last 20 years.
