I watched Simi talk about Empire Victor and the two versions that are floating around. One was barnyard Oud forward and the other was a supreme vanilla bomb.
Lattafa's Eclair blew me away bc I expected some juvenile Yara twist and it is far from that. I agree that it's back up bottle worthy, but will wait until the price comes down. ❤
Lattafa Eclair sounds soooooo beautiful and elegant!!!! I looked on eBay, and other perfume sites. It is way to expensive right now!!!! Hopefully it will come down in price!!!!!
I'm waiting on Lattafa -Eclaire, Lattafa - Sehr Lattafa, and Swiss Arabian- Shaghaf Oud Tonka... they're very hard to get at the moment in The Netherlands (or even in my corner of the EU, as I also often buy in Germany. The German Lattafa site doesn't even offer them! ), and all way too expensive. Think €80 and up. 😢 I might love Middle Eastern fragrances and their quality, but one of the reasons I started to buy them in the first place was their price. Their *affordable* price. This constant viral-going of M-E perfumes has been upping those prices constantly and consistently - sick and tired of it. Can't we not just & only all watch Cecilia and Simin and tell no one else about these gems? Can we cancel TikTok...? (For more reasons than just this, btw). Some time ago, I actually encountered a few dupes that were *more expensive* by far than the original.
Two days ago received Empire Victor and is the most unique vanilla I have ever smelt❤❤❤my husband reaction was..”you smell delicious.what are you wearing?”😻😻😻
Hi! I heard some UA-camrs recently got their videos removed, because some big perfume houses went after them. The reason was talking about Middle Eastern dupes of their fragrances. It seems they have started a war against dupes. I guess it is still ok to talk about them as "inspirations" and "smell-a-likes".
If that's true, if that was the reason, that's ridiculous. There's freedom of speech, and talking about a product - negative or positive - can't be denied in any way on an open platform... or anywhere, really. If you want to find fault as a brand, you should attack the dupe-creators. Which they know they can't do because duping a brand *isn't illegal*. Perfumes can't be protected in the same way as inventions. The only thing a brand càn do, is pull a dupe creator into court if the packaging/ name is pretty much identical (think all those Tom Ford dupes), as these ARE protected. It's absolutely disgusting that UA-cam would then help these big brands! What? Did they threaten to stop advertising or something? (which is bull, because I'm pretty sure they get more sales through YT ads than through TV and magazines as the majority of TV watchers gets up to pee and get some snacks during commercials, and magazines have such low subscription rates nowadays.... Is UA-cam really licking corporate a••?). Or are we suddenly in China/Russia/North-Korea? @CeeChroniclesTalkingScents Let me first say it's a delight to watch your videos again! Last August, I got a major flare-up, which then got support from new symptoms from another illness, and I've not been on UA-cam for 7 months! Secondly: if this is true, please make a video about this! I'll then help you to spread the message to other perfume reviewers who speak about ME brands and maybe the media - if they don't pick this up themselves. Maybe create a petition that all subbies of perfume reviewers can sign? This shouldn't be allowed. It is bad enough creators reviewing books and movies have to find different words for s*x, n*dity, b••bs, and the like (they can't say "Be careful with young kids as there is a lot of n*dity in the film", as they will be deleted for promoting p*rn. Hence, my *•• as well 😒), and clothing reviewers have to be extremely careful when showing bikini or pj's or short skirts for the same reason. Puritan America (UA-cam) doesn't like that. But that we've stepped into propaganda & persecution-land by denying Influencers the right to speak about dupes because perfume brands are p*ss*ng their pants is blowing my mind for many, many reasons. Want to hear my thoughts on why their actions are batsh*t crazy to begin with? Maybe it'll be handy for your video - if you end up making one, and you happen to agree. I really want to put this in an article, actually. (Oh, if only misschronicallyfabulous dot com was finally live, ugh). 1. Big perfume brands are not losing money because of dupes. Not directly, and only minimally. They're losing money because the quality of high-end and niche perfumes has decreased immensely, while prices have gone up tremendously. It's simply not worth it anymore to fork over more than €100, or worse €300 for niche, and then having to come to the conclusion you'll lose the scent after 1-3 hours despite moisturising, or needing 30 sprays each time to be even remotely noticed by someone sitting next to you! Middle Eastern brands and other dupe houses show us you can create quality perfumes that actually perform for a third or sometimes even a sixth of the price. And then they still offer luxurious or plain cute/ decent packaging on top of that. 2. I also sincerely believe that 98% of dupe buyers wouldn't ever have been a high- end or niche buyer, no matter the existence of said inspiration. I myself am a perfect example of that. I simply don't have the budget for the current prices, and 100% of people I know that buy "smell-a-likes" are in the same boat. I also know many perfume lovers that hàve the money, but they simply don't think a bottle of perfume is worth more than 50 bucks, so they don't buy anything over that price. The worsened quality has only enforced their position. The people that càn buy the OG and don't think/ don't have to think about price simply buy the original☆. Or they buy both. The many existing perfume snobs in the fragrance community also buy the original and will keep doing so, no matter how often people speak about alternatives. Sure, there's a group that got the original, then heard of the smell-a- like and proceeded to purchase the latter. But why? That all goes back to point one. Either the quality of the SaL is equal or better, or the price of the original is simply too high/not worth it. 3. And then, finally: I actually think that all this viral going of inspirations, plus channels existing to speak about dupes, helps the big perfume brands. Yes, you read me right. When you speak of Lattafa Eclaire, do you not mention Bianco Latte? (And rinse repeat for all those others). That's free advertising in itself as plenty of viewers might have heard of the new Lattafa but didn't know the name of the OG. Or maybe they did, but you mention it again. As well as give a description of that fragrance. Well, the ☆earlier mentioned people with the money will then often buy either both OR only the real deal, because *you* told them what to expect (if that turns out to be better or sweeter/less sweet - as they like - they will purchase the original). And I'll leave out all the money you and other UA-cam reviewers spend on the originals to be able to compare. In other words: not only are they messing with our rights (and UA-cam should be fined for helping, if this is all true), but I'm actually certain they're shooting themselves in the foot. End well thought out rant 😂. Edit: font
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 You outdid yourself in this one!!! Can we please make this a monthly/Quarterly series based on releases/purchases??? Like a recap of your favorites...
Love middle eastern perfumes!!!! Lattafa Eclair, and Nadine intrigue me , and sound soooooo elegant and rich. Have to add these to my perfume collection!!!!!!
I’m questioning if I have a different bottle because all I smell from Empire Victor is an over glorified Bare Vanilla from Victoria’s Secret. Just the perfumed version of it which I mentioned in another post. It is still a beautiful scent but they are so so similar. Also would make sense why they included ‘victor’ in the name to me!
@@JustSayLette_16 I just checked mine, I got the reformulated version as it says April 2024, I really do want the old formulation now. I collect perfumes so I wondered if I was going crazy as the new formulation is not quite unique to me and a bit western leaning (although it still has depth to it) - once you have smelt this scent profile before, with the vanillin, creamy nuances. There is also a certain depth to it, which is also present in bare vanilla, that takes it away from being juvenile. I have them sprayed side by side and honestly can’t tell much of a difference scent wise (Empire is obviously better performance wise as it’s a perfume). Bare Vanilla is still one of, if not VS’s best seller and should not be discounted as it is very beautiful

@SiminShaikh said she had last year's version and Khadlaj sent her the new formula of Empire Victor, and it must be the one you have. If the production number is before April of this year it is the old barnyard oud version. It's probably why it's been out of stock everywhere. She said they sent her two other fragrances that they reformulated this year.

There are some beautiful ones for sure
Honestly anything with snakes whether real or fake is a NO NO NOOOO for me!!! Where I come from it’s like a taboo. So on these fragrances in snake design bottles I WILL PASS……
I’m giving you a tip: no ONE has reviews of this perfume ANYWHERE, not on UA-cam, not on TikTok. nowhere at all. and this perfume is called: Al Qubah from Ard Al Zaafaran by Lattafa
Funny enough...my least favorite perfume in my collection is Teriaq. I actually use it to freshen up my trashcans because I cant imagine putting it on my skin (trust me, i tried). And my absolute favorite perfume right now is Eclaire, because it reminds me of a delicious dessert.
You didn't mention the most important thing. Do they smell feminine. When all companies are marketing their products as unisex to sell as much as possible, as a man who has a huge collection, I don't need to add any feminine frags to my collection. So this kind of videos are not helping.

❤❤❤
Thank you 🥰
New subscriber, and love your channel ❤. I also have a very large collection. How long do you feel these fragrances last if stored carefully. I hate waste so trying to use them
Up to 10 years if you keep them in their boxes and away from light
@@CeeChroniclesTalkingScents I don't tend to keep boxes ( I wouldn't have the space), but I do protect from light and heat. I decant everything and put the bottles away out of the light. I used to carry full bottles in my purse but not anymore !. Thank you for so many amazing recommendations. I'd say I have more middle eastern than niche and designer now. There are some beautiful ones for sure
Cee where can i get Victor Empire and Nadine in Zim?
Empire Victor is not available in Zim. I got it in Ghana. Nadine is at Cash Shop along Chinhoyi & Bank near Bhola Hardware
@@CeeChroniclesTalkingScents thanks so much. Figure who is going to town
Honestly anything with snakes whether real or fake is a NO NO NOOOO for me!!! Where I come from it’s like a taboo. So on these fragrances in snake design bottles I WILL PASS……
I get you 🥰
I’m giving you a tip: no ONE has reviews of this perfume ANYWHERE, not on UA-cam, not on TikTok. nowhere at all. and this perfume is called: Al Qubah from Ard Al Zaafaran by Lattafa
Thank you
Funny enough...my least favorite perfume in my collection is Teriaq. I actually use it to freshen up my trashcans because I cant imagine putting it on my skin (trust me, i tried). And my absolute favorite perfume right now is Eclaire, because it reminds me of a delicious dessert.
Thanx for the feedback 🥰
You didn't mention the most important thing. Do they smell feminine. When all companies are marketing their products as unisex to sell as much as possible, as a man who has a huge collection, I don't need to add any feminine frags to my collection. So this kind of videos are not helping.
These are genderless. No kidding. Men or women can wear them without being stereotyped
@@CeeChroniclesTalkingScents Thx for your reply. I'll probably buy one of them to see for myself.
