I thought it looked like Rotoscoping. What made me think of it was the B-17 Flying Fortress scene from the movie, Heavy Metal. If I'm not mistaken, Rotoscoping was used for the entire scene with the B-17 itself. That was my introduction to the technique. Never heard of that series. I'll have to look into it.
Hahah the look on your face that could be put in an encyclopaedia under the "WTF" term :J I already watched the movie, and yeah, it is that bad, but also good, for two different reasons. Bad (or rather terrible) for every fan of the original "Rescue Rangers" and other classic cartoons, but also good as a stand-alone movie, with an OK story and characterization, and as a satire on modern movie industry (and how self-unaware Disney is). It would be fun to see your reaction to the full movie, just make sure to put your expectations and nostalgia aside while watching it, or it will tear you to smithereens :q And make sure to rewatch the original "Rescue Rangers" afterwards to wash your brain - which might be a nice opportunity for a reactions series BTW ;) (unless you already know it all by memory, as I do).
It’s such as shame you didn’t watch the “teaser” trailer. It has a lot more cartoon cameos, including Roger Rabbit, the terrible CGI cats from Cats (2019) and - if you can believe it - the Mane 6 from Friendship is Magic!

See, I did this back much earlier in the month, but I got a cut inside of my mouth which made it hard to talk and eat, and then I got sick, so I didn't feel like doing anything until I got well enough to, well, feel like doing something. I actually downloaded the teaser trailer when I did this one, but I didn't get to do anything for the past few weeks due to my mouth and being sick. Now that I'm well enough, I can do that. That being said, I did see a thumbnail with the Mane 6 in it from the movie, but I haven't watched it yet! I wanted to get this video done first before I did the teaser one. So don't worry, I won't be letting it go! It'll be next! And also, sweeeet, that cameos of the ponies are still being done! Yesh!

The animation they used for Chip is called Rotoscoping. A great example of Rotoscoping is the Amazon Prime series Undone.

I don't think it is rotoscoping. It looks more like a 3D model with cel shading to make it look more like a cartoon character.
