well, Simone can sing highest notes much better now, she's now a Soprano, not a mezzo-soprano. which means she has a higher note range... she can sing lower notes and higher too. for those who said she can't sing high notes anymore... well, you know nothing, Jon Snows! 😂
Before even listening to the album and this song wholly, I knew I would love it in the little teasers they put of it in the documentary. I was not disappointed. It"s the most majestic song ever. The dreamlike beginning (a bit nightmarish with the lyrics and feel), then the heaviness of the whole song, the lyrics, the vocals, the orchestration... It's one of my favourites of the whole album, and the live rendition is as good as I would have imagined it! Thanks for the upload!
amazing, this is the song where Simone reaches her highest pitch... but she sure does it without any trouble! I love this song, hopefully they will put it on the other shows track lists !
Epica at their best, what an amazing album, for sure one of the best of the year and for me their second best work, in my opinion The Quantum Enigma is their best work and for me the best Symphonic Metal album ever made. But it's an amazing performance and an amazing track, well done Epica
In a Q&A she said that she has a soprano range, but she can't keep the head voice extremely long. I thought it was a C6 or even a D6, but i'm not a musical expert.
It's the second edition of Epic Metal Fest at 013 Poppodium (location).... it also took me a second to realize it's not the year 2013, but something else :)
it has a part which it's sonority comes from black metal. (the one where Simone does that high pitch). as we all know, every kind of metal has it's own "branding" sonority and this particular Epica song has a sonority influenced by the melodies of black metal. Simone herself is a fan of black metal.

The note at 3:25 is a sharp B5 that may have touched a C6.
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN BEHOLD SIMONE "THE ANGEL" SIMONS!!! HOLY FUCK
PUTA QUE PARIU, QUE DLÇ DE MÚSICA
wow 3:25
Anyone else get a Otep vibe when listening to this song?
hmmmm maybe the piano, yes.
How high was Simone's highest not here?
She hits B5, it's not her highest note, but I think she never didn't hit this note for a long period like in this show.
In a Q&A she said that she has a soprano range, but she can't keep the head voice extremely long. I thought it was a C6 or even a D6, but i'm not a musical expert.
she's sung up to C#6, and in Retrospect she hits I think an E6 during the first song. I think she's always improving
no, in this show she hits B5
In retrospect she hits D6 during the first song and she hits E6 singing Storm the sorrow
2013???
It's the second edition of Epic Metal Fest at 013 Poppodium (location).... it also took me a second to realize it's not the year 2013, but something else :)
hahaha sorry ... the name of the building is '013' .. maybe it's better to change the 2 in II
Changed the name ! :)
Ok!
What say Simone in 00-10 sec? Black Metal song?

Thanks for answers! From chile lml
Simone is amazing, but is anyone gonna mention how weak the growls are from the guy?
Resident Evil....
I wish you could hear mark better. he sounds turned down in this song for some reason.
3:37 my beloved Simone was a little bit out of tune :'(
