@@tahir12354 Hello Noor, it all depends on ur status in the EU , if you are an EU citizen, it’s easier and faster because an EU citizen can get job within the first week of landing in Ireland and the work will issue an authority note which you will add to your proof of address and your id, then you apply online. But a non eu is faced with couple of challenges : 1. You can’t apply for work immediately because you need to put in your residence permit and he/she has to wait until the EU treaty rights issues a letter for you to take to your local office. So it takes about 1 month for an EU citizen to access PPSN that’s when you follow the right steps

Contract of work is enough, if you get a letter from your manager, it’s still an added advantage for you.

Hi Linda very excellent video, thank you!! I WILL BE RELOCATING TO IRELAND in the coming weeks and I wanted to apply for PPS with a friend's address (however, he is based in Dublin, and I will be based in Waterford) I was wondering if my interview could be held in Waterford?
Your interview is supposed to be held at the intero of within the locality of your friend’s address. Where you stay doesn’t matter PPS, what matters is the address you gave them. After you must have settled in steer Waterford and got your own address, you go the intero near you and update your address.

How long does it usually take to receive the PPS number? because I heard that you get taxed 40% of your income while you don´t have one, which makes things a lot harder in the early stages of moving there.. also, with how much saved up money would you recommend going?
It takes about 10 to 15 days at most. With high cost of living 5 to 6k euros for you to be able to pay for accommodations and transportations until you get a permanent accommodation. This amount may quickly run out if you didn’t get a job immediately. Thanks 😊

Hi I'm new here in Ireland I'm a dependent of my husband and I need a pps number inorder for me to have work but in the system the ask for evidence why I need a pps number what documents should I upload in that portion
If you have kids you can use give a reason for applying their child benefit. If not try to enrol in a college or online course, upload their form as a reason to get a PPS number. If you’re working, your contract of work is a reason for you too. Thanks 😊

Hi Linda. I just came to Ireland from eu. Am a Nigerian and I have an eu family member card. So I came to Ireland without visa because I came together with my wife. She’s an Irish citizen but we got married in Poland. Am trying to register myself to get the GNIB card. D Imigration did not accept the proof of address from the airbnb I am staying.
They said it has to be a proper house contract with both our names or an utility bill that carries our names. Can I use d address from the post office to apply for my GNIB ? Because I haven’t gotten a proper accommodation. Pls what else can I use as proof of address that will be acceptable??

You obviously need a visas, you can apply for a visa with your letter of invitation for the PPS number.

Honestly PPS number is for those already living in Ireland getting an invitation while outside Ireland means you gave them an Irish address during your application. So I don’t know the type of visa you need to come for it now.
