@@wojak-sensei6424 Really, when he gave the description of his changes near the end it was like I was watching the movies in my head and it worked really well, even the shakespearean prose coming out of Kylos mouth only at key points. Giving him some more knightly qualities would have served well to differentiate the Knights of Ren from the Sith Order as distinct factions.
The only issue is with the end of episode 9 as this ends the movie in its middle and removes every single lightsaber fight or final battle. Though even if Hux and Kylo kill each other, logic dictates that General Pryde and the fleet still exist. A villain without force powers really should have taken centerstage at some point during the sequel trilogy, Hux and Phasma running around as side villains isn't really what Tarkin/Piett/Veers were.
Let Pryde take over the fleet as a throwback to Tarkin having been the main villain of ANH, give him some greater motivation beyond being a fascist by having him want to outlaw force users out of the galaxy since they are responsible for the downfall of every faction and government. Maybe also don't kill the Knights of Ren together with Kylo and let them appear during the finale. Their ghoul like outfits and conventional weapons would have been a great visual representation of depression for Rey to fight against as she basically agrees with them since she wanted Kylo not to die and feels responsible for it, maybe even agreeing in the back of her mind with Prydes views on Force users being a plight on the populace. That way we could have still kept the eerie atmosphere of Sheevs Sith temple without having to bring him back as the Sith god. It could have been the same movie but without all the contempt against every element that gives Star Wars its identity, just with contempt for the old hero cast.

Miscommunication is the death of Civilization,
And many a nation fall prey to this infestation,
      It is therefore my declaration,
That there must be a fixation,
      On Sentence-Subject correlation,
      Without losing concentration,
      On a specific destination,
      Without hesitation,
For 'twill be a great elation,
      To witness the operation,
      Of perfect communication,
      That results in cooperation,
      Without much compllication,
      Being part of all creation.
If you have no idea what I'm saying, then you probably don't value the importance of words. (Sorry if that's mean) Words are like people and bullets. Though some look, sound, and feel the same, ultimately they are different and have different meanings. Once you "fire" a word, it can't be taken back, and many slangs in the past have become modern words. As a result, wars have been fought because of miscommunication and thousands have been killed. ( I know it sounds crazy, but it's true.)
So if you value words and in your POV, "proper slang," then go ahead and keep using them. I, on the otherhand, am going to keep using words the way they're supposed to be used. I know what slang is, I've invented many myself, and many of them don't detract from the original meaning.
But whatever, it probably doesn't matter to you anyway😔. I just hope I've given you a peek into the POV of a person different from you and (I. M. O.) a nice rap poem😒.
      Have a safe time online!!!🤗

    • @janehrahan5116
      @janehrahan5116 3 роки тому +54

half right. They have been fed their entire lives that they should be "the one who wears the pants" When most women would prefer the skirt. So they become attached in media to any dominant man/submissive woman dynamic regardless of its health. Women who are in healthy relationships for them are less likely to find this appealing, even if they are sjws, or the boomer version. Edit: In my experience as a bi woman who is more naturaly dominant interacting with lesbian and bi women, I don't necissairly know the straight dynamic perfectly there.

It’s more that a subset of girls is attracted to villains in stories. It might be because they want to rebel against the world and see the villain as a way to do so vicariously. Alternatively it might be women who feel trapped by life secretly yearn for someone to save them, which may come in the form of abduction. Remember kids, when you play as the hero you’re not saving the princess you’re abducting her from the villain who abducted her first. The only difference between a hero and a villain from the princess’s perspective is one will let her go if she asks and the other won’t, this is why the scene in Beauty and the Beast where Belle begs the Beast to let her return home and he does so is so important, and why her family trying to return her to the confinement she’d been stuck in at the beginning of the story shows her that the Beast is truly the hero she wants.

The reylo pairing could work if there were actually characters in the show. However, as there are no characters, simply copyrighted marketing placements; none of the character relationships feel real or fleshed out. Even the straight forward hierarchy of a command structure escapes the set of relations.
If the disney star wars saga did anything novel in terms of writing, it was produce a sequence of scenes onto which the audience could project both plot and characters. Arguably, they should have just stripped all dialogue as the present set excludes rational people from participating in the plot projection and this constricts the marketability notably.

Some people once decided what is high and what is low. About words, foods, clothes, books, looks and so on. In truth, it is just matter and different temperaments. Still, sound - from objects, voices, utility & construction devices, musical instruments, transmits certain feelings and reactions, almost universal, scary, gentle, sad, passionate energic, and so on. But sure, design is nice, perfume is a great invention, clean spacious bathrooms are lovely :)
