She basically admits she was raped and the audience just laughs and still blames her bc her credibility as a "bad girl" is so low.
Then Sally chimes in and says "Did you call the police?" No.
It still happened regardless whether she reported if or not, Sally . . .

I know. They're like laughing at her and shit. It's wild how an audience of grown women are saying things like "it's not an excuse!! Who let him in!?!?"
      Sick.

You can tell this was a different time and era because this wouldn’t have never happened now … the mom would be the villain and that lady got up and said “ idc if ur mother don’t give you no respect, u ALWAYS give ur mother respect “ … man those were some wild times 😅😂

The one drawback of the 90s was the SEVERE lack of awareness about stuff like this. Conversely and ironically, awareness about said stuff is the only POSITIVE quality about today, and even then, theres more work to do

Gary probably SAed her during those 4 days, why else would she be calling him a "freak" with so much disgust & disdain. Thats probably also why she called it "abandonment" for her mom to leave her alone with him because from her perspective it probably felt like her mom set her up

The therapist was sh!t tho. When she asked the 15 year old girl who makes her life stressful, and the girl answered her mom, the therapist quickly denied what she said and told her that shes the one stressing herself. Baiscally did not listen to what she had to say and blamed her.

I get bad vibes from Sandy's mother. Sandy said she was raped, her mother barely batted an eye. It was that one audience member who showed her compassion. The fact that Sandy's mother found an adult male having sex with a 12 year old and blamed her daughter rather than the adult male who had sex with a child.
I think a lot of these kids were raised by incompetent parents.

Whenever I would watch these types of shows; whether it'd be Sally, Maury Povich, Jenny Jones, I always said that there's always a REASON for these kids/young adults acting out the way they are (and 9 times out of 10; it has something to do with the parents), they don't just UP one day and DECIDE to be wild and act out. Plus, the people in the audience, IMO, always made the situations WORSE by their heckling, taunting and make snide comments cause THEY don't know WHAT could've been going on at their home (like the girl, Sandy, cause I too caught after she mentioned that she was raped, her mother didn't even flinch)

    • @chubbiMommi
      @chubbiMommi 3 місяці тому

All of this also like the mom it feels like she has some kind of like weird jealousy toward her daughter she's got to know what's going on between the stepdad and the daughter and that's even disgusting for me to have to say how heartbreaking and did you notice how her eyes just looks so sad when the commenter was like you're 12 go back to playing with. I'm willing to bet anything she would definitely go back to playing with Barbies if she could the pain in her eyes is almost too much. The mom is so self-righteous it makes me want to vomit.. Her friends are probably the place where she goes to take this because she can't feel safe at home.

out of the 4 girls, i can tell that sandy is a different story, as someone who is a victim of csa, just like sandy, i can tell you that it puts physical damage on yourself and your brain. i didn’t do what sandy ever did after it happened but i can tell you that. sandy admitted to her mother that she was basically r8ped and the mother did nothing and blamed it on her and that is completely on her. dawn, bridgitt and bonnie just need a reality check, as someone from kentucky, they are NOT in a gang, they just want to be seen as tough. they have no idea how hard life gets and they probably did after all this, i dont know what happened to them but i know that sandy is hurting.

Yes u gotta discipline your kid if they do something wrong but it’s the way she said “always respect ur parents even if they never respect you” that got on my nerves. Treat others the way u want to be treated yk? I think that’s something the mother, daughter, and apparently the ppl in that crowd need to learn.

    • @theL0VERS

In middle school in small town ky in 1996 we had "crips". Lol like 3 to 6 kids that wore dickies, mechanic shirts, white under shirts and blue bandanas. They would come to school dances and sit in the corner brooding. They were in 8th grade and i was in 6th. Lmao I was convinced they were in a gang and that was the first time i had ever heard of a gang being in small town ky. Of course, now looking back, it was totally absurd and very laughable. But I just look at the music that was popular during this time and it explains so much. In fact, I know two of the people still, almost 30 years later, and they definitely have no connections to any gangs. You should have heard the rumors that swirled about them about how they would jump you and they got beat into the gang and they were real violent like I never saw any of them fight. I actually just told my husband the story the other day and we sat and laughed about it.

@@theL0VERS I truly love this story. I am from rural Ohio, we had a few of these types at a nearby school that would try to scare us but the only crimes they were involved with were shoplifting and smoking cigarettes they stole from their parents. There were also a few kids who would move to a bigger city and move back in two years and act like they had been in a gang. It was always a laugh.

While I like shows like this, it shows what it was like growing up in this time. I grew up in a household where the parents played victim after they would push me to the edge. They all had one thing in common with these people: they failed to listen when it mattered. Now at 35, I'm bitter and have little to no contact with family since my grandma passed. I've been been to the psych ward twice and jail once. Even in adulthood, it never stopped. That's narcissists on steroids.
