I think the real hero here is the adopted mom. She was so generous in letting them meet earlier than later. She could have been jealous and kept them from meeting.

My sons were adopted out so they could have a better life. I hate myself every day for giving them up. I have thought about suicide then I would not feel like CRAP all the time. I don't do this because when and if they try to find me they will see that I am a strong woman living day by day Praying for my boys. I Love you Michael Joseph and Joshua.Lee.

You gave them up unselfishly, so they would have a chance at a better, more stable environment. You did this out of unconditional love for your boys. Don't beat yourself up over it. Maybe some day, you too will get the chance of meeting them! I wish you the best!🙏🙏❤❤

Please don't hate youself. You did your best back then! Now, your task is to be an example to your children of how to overcome adversity. Show them that you can live a joyous life even after you had to face the heartbreaking decision of adoption. Live by example. That is the best any parent can do.

She wanted her chld to have 2 loving parents & a good home. He got that. She also loved him, & he got to know that. She got to know what & great person he was, & vice versa. They got to see how alike they naturally were & they got to love each other. I'd say it turned out perfectly. Like his mommie wanted it to. Because her child DID get the kind of parents she wanted for him. THAT'S the reason she got to know him & be a part of his life! Perfect. PTL!

Those hot shot psychologist back in 1980 advised not to let the birth mother hold the baby and that was the hospital protocol. Shows how book smart they are...why do we go to funeral services? It's a way of saying goodbye. They should have let her hold and talk to the baby to say goodbye. It's the human thing to do.

Barbara D Thank you:) I think it has to do with a compartment of memory where it is mostly in amnesia, regarding s. abuse, where that part of me deep inside is angry with myself for "participating" even though I don't remember 90 percent of it! I got this glimpse/epiphany/revelation a few days ago. It was implied that this attitude is way below the surface, like I'm not doing it consciously, but nevertheless it influences my daily outlook, decisions, reactions, etc.

It's her right to hold her baby. And although they didn't allow this (however long ago and wherever) because they were scared the connection made would change things... the connection for most, is made throughout the pregnancy. So honestly it was a silly reason. A mother will do what she feels is best period. A real mother that is... I say that because unfortunately we all know of some stories proving this isint the case for all. I also believe even if the mother thinks it's best.. sometimes souls are just meant to be together. Like in this story.

After 35 years, and distributing thousands of programs, the word 'entertainment' speaks to the breadth and depth of our catalog. 'Entertainment' is the category for "It's a Miracle" because, to be honest, among the choices for categorization, 'Entertainment' fit the best. There wasn't a 'faith' or 'inspirational' category to choose from, unfortunately. Finally, yes these are true stories.

It really wasn't smart to move immediately into a new home after all that chaos and deaths, and especially to get a house that was double the price of their mortgage, what were they thinking? That could bring on all kinds of marital problems, the last thing they needed. You're not supposed to make any big decisions for the first year after a significant loss in your life.
