That blue skirt look is brilliant! When I saw the color palette I did not like it but you went with lots of blue and just a sprinkle of the red to make it prefection. Gonna play with the color palette for sure. I also like the one about using only what you have not worn.......I have not worn my knee high boots.....need to pull them out and give them some love. All that said I live a very casual life on the Colorado Front range.

You talk about the 70s. I still have clothes from this era. So, you gave me an idea - take a decade and search the fashion ideas. I still love the 20s and 50s. I need to buy a crinoline.

After I do a massive closet declutter, I'm going to totally try this - I love the character idea as I seem to be stuck in the same 90s grunge kid look from my college years! One thing I do for eyeshadow is I ask I my partner for three random colors - maybe I should do that for dressing up too?
Hi Beth! I watched this video before, but I came back to it today due to Covid making so many of us and me feel stuck in style ruts! I love these tips so much and I have been trying to wear pieces in my closet this past week that I haven't worn in a really long time. It really does help me feel more excited to get dressed. I went thrifting this morning while my son was at hockey practice and let me tell you, that also picked me up a ton! I found a Liz Claiborne button down that is fan-freaking-tabulous! Thought of you when I found it because it screams you also! Thanks for always inspiring me and really loving this video to also give me new life! xoxo
I have sooooo many clothes - 98% thrifted🙂 This inspired me to play! I have always loved fashion. What I find is as I have gotten older.. I no longer care if others don't like what I wear...as long as I love it - It's a good day!!
OMG I absolutely LOVE the whole plaid situation (outfit #2). It immediately reminded me of Red Skelton's character Clem Kadiddlehopper...in the most amazing, beautiful-feminine way!! Please take that as the compliment it's meant to be! I love all the looks so much, particularly #2 and again outfit #5. Soooo amazing and unique, creative and just out-of-this-world! When you said 70s secretary it made me think ‘Diana Prince, but make it fashion’ 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻😍 A way I love to get me out of a style rut is similar to what you suggested. I’m British but I live in Australia, so I pick someone British who I follow or admire. Then, interpret their look or looks for the Season I’m currently in, as they’re opposing. Eg: It’s Autumn here, so I’ll work from the particular person’s latest Spring looks. Anyway, I really enjoyed. Thank you for sharing 🙏🏻
Love the Bianca Jagger look, but could do without the off-buttoned blazer (someone is going to come up to you and say, "Did you know you have that buttoned wrong?") Also LOVE the mixed plaids, but the long-long-long belt, not so much (doesn't it get in the way?). Navy and pale-aqua blue together - fabulous! Would never have thought of this combo. 3-pc. suit with leopard -brilliant! Everything was so fun to see (above comments not meant to be critical...just my view!).

LOVED the last two looks especially and great tips... especially the color pallette one! I usually style an outfit around one piece especially one that I haven't worn yet. If I stick to that then it forces me to come up with a look based on that restriction. I am thinking that making yourself stick to certain guidelines (like your tips) makes it easier to put something together 😍😘❤️ Thanks for the video ❤️

Never thought of it in the context of getting out of a rut, but I have a list of new combos to try, so it definitely works. Also, I adore every one of these looks and you've really been killing it lately.
