Great video, how should a sense bulb be oriented when it's mounted vertically, I'm getting conflicting information. The vapor line on my unit exits the coil and goes straight up. In this scenario do the sense lines coming out if the bulb point up or down? Thanks in advance.

Maybe two basic issues are whether the unit is right-sized for the house and that wonderful Filtrete filter set up... system looked brand new.

You're brave. I so as much look at my lennox coils the wrong way and they start leaking on me.

would a txv really give it much more capacity in very hot weather? head is higher in hot weather, should be getting plenty of refrigerant with a piston i think.
txv would increase capacity a little in mild weather - preventing the coil from being a bit starved of liquid, opening up more to compensate for the lower head.

@@97Napkins possible it had the wrong metering device and or wrong charge - put txv and adjust charge and problem goes away.

Did you also remove the piston from the outside high pressure line ? I installed a new in and outside unit which had a piston in the outside unit and TXV in the inside unit. I removed the outside piston and I don’t seem to be cooling as well as it should
