    Nice quick overview of the Leki's. Thank you. I'm about to use poles for the first time ever. I especially liked your comment about the misconception some may have that poles are an aid for older folks. From all I'm learning, hearing, reading, etc... nope. They're just a good way to add stability, and reduce the impact while descending. Looking forward to using mine.

      Thanks for commenting, Rashoop. Remember these tips. Don't strap in your hands in case a tip gets stuck. Just let go of the grip or else you might snap off the end. I found the end of a snapped Leki pole last month on a mountain and took it to dispose of it and also to claim the two Speedlocks as spares for mine ;). Also, be sure to plant the tips on the far side of obstacles like rocks and roots. Planting in front of these is the perfect way to snap the pole. Be patient. It takes a while to learn the rhythm between your paces and pole planting. Enjoy!
