You handled that with class. I find people like that are either entitled or probably suck at fishing 😂 so it’s a lose, lose situation to start a confrontation over it.
Wow you are in a class all by itself it takes a lot to hold back any emotions during that moment every comment here says a lot about how they would deal with it! It’s definitely a teachable moment about angler respect and courtesy and that’s why I watch your content because you are so much better than a lot of so called professional tournament anglers! Keep up the great work it will not go unnoticed tight lines take care and God bless!
I know im a little late but...............I cant say how refreshing it is to have you back uploading content. It has been stale the last month or 2 without your uploads brother.
Tournament or no tournament, I can't imagine just rolling up on someone like that. I hope that person sees this and realizes people think it's a douche move.
Some people just don't have any curtesy but the moment you told him to throw the A rig that was an open invitation to sit there next to you but congratulations on your finish you had a rough start and managed to get a limit 👍
Theres alot of guys that do that on anna especially during the winter when someone gets into a good school of striper or hybrid all of a sudden 10 other boats pop up when they see someone land a fish guys used to throw pop corn or something out of their boat and watch idiots go chase the seagulls cuz of that they'd think the birds found a pile of bait when in reality it was just a hand full of corn puffs or something 😂
@SBFishing it was extremely hilarious I've seen guys get mad cuz they thought they found bait and it was just a loon in the water so imagine how mad they'd get over a hand full of pop corn and having no clue where it came from 😂
That's a very good question. Winterizing your boat is the best way to keep your boat safe over the colder months especially if it's stored outside and not used much. The biggest piece of winterizing is making sure nothing has water in it or will freeze, causing expensive things to break. You don't have to winterize, but you have to do a "mini winterization" after every use. After I get off the water, I raise and lower the outboard to drain all the water, and then leave it all the way down to fully drain as I'm getting the boat ready. I also hit the lower unit/plug/livewell with a battery powered mini leaf blower to make sure everythings clear especially if it's going below freezing. Once I get home I lower the outboard all the way again so if there is still any water in it it will drain, and keeps rain/snow from getting in. If it's going below freezing, and I don't think all the water is out I'll even throw a little heater on the lower unit....these are the tips I'd suggest, probably missing something but I haven't run into any issues.
@ thank you so much man. I live in Columbus, OH and just got my first boat in September. I keep it in the garage but still didn’t want to take chances. We got the good pink stuff in her now.
You’ll get really annoyed if you fish a kayak event and a team pull up on you in their bass boat and get on what you’re fishing. 😂 That’s extremely annoying too.
When it comes to trying to win you should read out loud the rules if there is any on courtesy fishing. I know in particular kayak tournaments there is a 50-100 meter distance, but honestly it goes down to just finding your own fishing area. That particular angler was just an idiot and you could’ve made a scene but you did what your gut told you not to do. You handled it well but others would’ve raised hell. I’ll say you made a friend that day.
I had a guy pull into my spot and If i hadn't moved he would have hit me. I ended up cashing a check that tournament and he can in with 0 fish... FISHING KARMA is real.
Normally guys that fish tournaments themselves will move off if you tell them you’re in a tournament, if that doesn’t work I normally give a “hey if you don’t mind I’m in tournament would you mind giving me the water I’ve got money on the line” or something like that and they’ll normally move off after that, unless they’re the 1% that’s just a dick 🤣 ngl it’s nice to be friendly but you not saying anything about it and then shooting the shit & giving him tips was sort of an invitation to for him to keep fishing or at least I would view it that way.
That guys a loser, pretty sad. Like everyone has said you handled it super well and I always try to do the same, but to sit right beside you is pretty lame.
You are always so calm man. I would've cussed that guy clean back to the boat ramp... etiquette is long gone in todays world. Fun fisher wouldn't even give you some space while in a tournament... pitiful. The black and white obvious rule of bass fishing, as much as we all may hate it, if you got beat to the spot, you got beat. You don't pull up and play bumper boats to try and bully the other boater off. Your level head is commendable for sure.
You definitely showed class my man. Hope he sees this and realizes what he did wrong. Keep it classy brother 🤟🏻
The guy moving in on you is ridiculous.
A bass and a striper on the same cast is just fricken cool.
You handled that with class. I find people like that are either entitled or probably suck at fishing 😂 so it’s a lose, lose situation to start a confrontation over it.
Hey Lawson!
You know I hate fishing in eyesight of another boat haha

Exactly. Tournaments or no tournament, never do that. I just avoid fishing around people as a whole if I can. (Unless your name is @hpsfishing)
@@SBFishing I'm with you bud!

Great Video, I enjoyed watching.

I have a question. Why do we have to winterize our boats but you are able to fish in yours when it’s colder than freezing.
That's a very good question. Winterizing your boat is the best way to keep your boat safe over the colder months especially if it's stored outside and not used much. The biggest piece of winterizing is making sure nothing has water in it or will freeze, causing expensive things to break.

Dude must think that Anna is like the Potomac 😂
What kind of spinning reel you use SB?
Shimano Stradic ci4, Vanford, and Miravel. All linked in the description of the vid!
Guy was way too close and had no right to come in on you like that. Impressed with your handling of the situation.
“I just come over here on this huge empty lake to fish beside you for fun”
You caught a lot of good eating size today…
🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣👍👍👍👍👍great video man.
Thanks, appreciate it!

At least you were nice about it my dad would have cussed him out
Just call him a hole buzzard
🔨
When I come in to a spot & there's a tournament angler fishing there, I'll wish him luck & I move on giving him that area. That's Just what I do
Especially when he asked if you were in a tournament and you said "Yes". He should not have gotten close to you like that.
I had a guy pull into my spot and If i hadn't moved he would have hit me. I ended up cashing a check that tournament and he can in with 0 fish... FISHING KARMA is real.
Anna is getting about as bad as potomac for people pulling in front of you.
Dudes just camping on your spot😂 wtf

IDC if you were catching them good in there the day before. You don't roll up on someone that's fishing it and say nothing.
Dude your doing a great job, i have more id like to talk to u about. I will wait till u drop those vids of those events

Was just a weird situation. Didn’t bother me at the time, but when editing this video it did.
