An employee at a Mexican restaurant in the USA told us recently that the prices for guacamole have increased now that they're only allowed to buy avocados grown in the USA. Now it's up to citizens in the USA to ban GMO products grown in the USA for the health of everyone in our own country.
Actually a lot of avocados come from Peru now, ugly little thing happening in that country atm, anyway, almost 100 gallons of water are needed to grow a single avocado, essentially, getting México's or peru's health packed avocados is getting billions of gallons of water as well, México's government, isn't banning corn at all, the government found credible indications for GMO corn to be a cause for cancer, thus, they decreed the GMO corn can only be used to feed animals, we will continue to buy from American farmers, but it'll be a reduced amount from today's consumption, there's another problem, Mexico is where corn, DOMESTICATED corn comes from , we do have many more varieties of corn than the stereotypical corn we all know, big companies like Monsanto/Bayer with their "proprietary " GMO corn have a terrible fame works wide of going around and screwing over anybody who without knowing it gets their production cross pollinated with the neighbors GMO corn fields and applying lawsuits to claim that cross pollinated corn is now theirs, because they own the patent thus the owner is no longer the owner, just like that, according to them..., that little game ain't something ANYONE wants, specially in the land of corn, if the previously mentioned doesn't apply ,the simple fact of dominating markets because their pest resistant and weed killing herbicide resistant crops always have that advantage is bad enough to think we will become 100% dependant on a staple crop when it's completely unnecessary, , if on top of all of that, we are also supposed to potentially get cancer!?.... we don't think so, yet this companies are trying to push it down our throats, claiming some bs about the USMCA, without proving the corn is actually safe and I bet offering no assurances that they'll take care of the consequences when they come up, if it wasn't a problem, then why do we read NON GMO in many boxes of cereal and other food items? That's right
You really might want to look more into what they mean when they say GMO. They aren't talking about mad scientists in a lab injecting chemicals into plants to change their genetics. It's literally just crossbreeding to get a higher quality and healthier plant. Every tomato, carot, pepper, and so one in your produce section, even fruit, have been engineered to what they are today by humans doing this over millenia. GMO is such a broad definition that even rice falls into the category. It's just selective breeding.

Genetic modification doesn't make a food "processed" lol. Those are two entirely different things.
Add to that fact that all corn itself is GMO if it's edible, including every variety she showed off. Corn began to be genetically modified by man centuries ago to turn it into an edible (and eventually profitable) crop.
The seeds to grow this corn were processed, genetically processed same as genetically modified. It went through a process in a laboratory.
@@zahir88888 cool. Except that's not at what "processed food" means. And that's also not usually how genetic modification happens. And that's because people believe nonsense and then lawmakers use the nonsense that people believe against them.
There's absolutely nothing wrong with genetically modified corn, all that happens is the genes from different species of corn are spliced together to get the most desirable traits, like large yields, good flavor, drought resistance, every gene used is natural, they all come come from corn itself, just different varieties, the best traits are used to make the best strain possible, it's not like it's corn produced from crude oil or anything like that.

The USA just placed $$$ sanctions on avocados grown in Mexico because the growers are controlled by the drug cartel.
An employee at a Mexican restaurant in the USA told us recently that the prices for guacamole have increased now that they're only allowed to buy avocados grown in the USA.
Now it's up to citizens in the USA to ban GMO products grown in the USA for the health of everyone in our own country.
Yes, because more expensive and less available food thst takes more land and water to produce is something worth striving for!
Yeah they'll never ban gmo it makes the greedy corps way too much $$$. Our government is in the back pockets of the same corps
@@sumduma55your stance screams someone that doesn’t care if we and future generations die from malnutrition and cancer. America is not a country of bright people
As an American. I approve this message. They need to stop playing with our food
As an American (Mexican) We've got best corn and avocados in the Continent (possibly world) so ridding us of important transgenic US corn is indeed a Godsend
I approve this too ... as a farmer ... let's ban all produce imports from Mexico .
You’re approving of this message for the most retarded reason
@@edas1315true unfortunately the gmo corn has “infected” all the native species already.
Stop eating the crap!
Great move to stop corn import from US.
👍

Well done Mexico
Lol slightly racist my guy
@@kenji0403the phrase you’re looking for is ‘racially biased’. I personally wouldn’t use words I don’t know the meaning of, but that’s me.
