This really felt like a duel between two players who really understood the format. I've got a new respect for both players and for goat mirrors in general.
Big recommend: if you’re gonna do something cross-banlist, don’t use master duel. Duelingbook is perfectly serviceable and you can play with pre-errata stuff.

What an excellent game, first time seeing Lithium, cool energy. This is a nice rest for all the other nonsense coming from Sam and Seereax (love them both by the way, they are funny as hell, but still this is a nice pit stop)
I would be so bad at these old formats, my brain is just wondering why they aren’t going full gas every turn. No concept of holding resources even exists in my mind.
Love this match, felt a bit let down by lithium, he wasn't aggressive enough in my opinion, but either way i enjoyed watching them play. Was routing for lithium to come back in gm 2 so they could play a gm 3. Lit had a chance to win gm 1. Don't worry lit you'll get jesse next time lol
Using Snatch on Sorc by popping assailant was a risk and the play is largely ok. Tribe normal sticking and then not using snatch was kinda conservative and I would have probably gone for game there but the next turn not normalling serpent and after it sticks using snatch, based on how the previous turn went, seemed 100% wrong. Nothing Jesse could have had would not work just as easily later. Just a little too conservative from Lithium

So, in modern yugioh. If a card is errata'd, you have to have a copy of the errata'd version for its new ruling. But if you play in a throwback, can you play with the new errata'd copy and play by its old ruling?
Yes. In a Time Wizard tournament, you play with the cards using the text/rulings they had at the time, even if you have newly errata'd versions. You also don't have to have the errata'd versions to play the cards in modern yugioh; you just have to play by the newly errata'd text/rulings.
